If I wanted to build a character on my wife's account that would sit at the quest entrance and buff me before I go and kill stuff...what build would you use?

Not talking about dual boxing...just a round of buffs at the beginning of each quest. I'm thinking primarily Heal over Time effects.

I realize bard is the obvious answer, but then I figured there is some low hanging fruit in the cleric trees as well, ones that aren't dependent on cleric level, but the heal skill instead. Even sustaining song isn't bard level dependent for the amount of the heal, only the duration of the heal.

With all the nuances and subtleties of this game, to include epic destinies AND twists, if you could build the perfect buff bot, what would you choose?

Any and all recommendations are appreciated!

None of the healing over time effects will last long enough to sustain you through most quests. For me, I just did a pure cleric for full divine buffs with Max duration to keep it simple. Unless you really need the buffs it's probably more trouble than it is worth. Using another account is great for an extra chest pull for stuff you want/need but other than that it is probably a waste of time.

Yes and no. It's quite helpful to keep my wife and I around within a level or two. Yes, its a pain, but not more trouble than its worth for me for her to be able to log in at any time and start playing. (She plays about 1/2 as much as I do.)

I'd say pure Bard really lots of nice utility there.

For self and party survival Favored soul.

For gimpy with strong to mediocre buffs and lots of fun Spellsinger.

For domain options and old timer healer build Cleric.

Favored soul beats others for healing (the most important part) and other usefull buffs if you ask me.

Other weaker alternatives by means of healing and buffs (which has double strength for other types of parties) :

Nanobot healing:

- Artificer. (Also has double the healing/repair effect if your party has other Cyborg artificers and Warforged)

Negative energy damage:

- If your party consist of Palemaster wizards (Everyone plays as Palemasters with Skeletons and keep healing [damaging] eachother and all Skeleton knight pets at the same time)
