Unlocking and playing the Artificier class is my primary reason for playing Dungeons and Dragons online.
I read that its technically possible to unlock the Artificier for free through Favor quests and challenges. However those are all Level 21+ which is not Free-To-Play.
Just looking for confirming whether or not its possible to unlock the Artificier #1 For Free(no cash whatsoever) and #2 before level 21, the Epic/Premium levels.

It is possible to unlock Arti for free. It will take time, though. You can get one free challenge token per day, and questing can unlock DP you can use to buy access to packs in Store.
You could unlock Arti before level 21, but only if you have a higher level challenge runner in your party. There are some nice people out there who may help you reach it.

Using other characters to unlock the 650 store points needed to buy Secrets Of The Artificers is certainly doable. These are level 19 quests though, so doing them on Elite prior to 20 would be challenging without help from someone else.
That gets you 57 House C favor, you'd need to make up the rest with challenges (unless you could find someone who wants to do the raids...which does happen, but not often, the raid gear is badly obsolete). Assuming you could relatively easily 4-star the Heroic challenges, that gets you up to 104 favor.
You would really need to hit level 20 to run the epic challenges to get the rest. The good news is that in the process you will get a lot of ingredients for buying the Cannith challenge items, many of which are still quite nice.
Collect the free challenge token every day, and you won't need to ever buy the challenge pack (which at 1,295 store points is a really bad deal).

"The Artificer can be purchased in the DDO Store for 995 DP or can be unlocked by earning 150 House Cannith patron favor."
House Cannith favor can be earned from running Cannith Challenges and the quests in the Secrets of the Artificers pack (https://ddowiki.com/page/Secrets_of_the_Artificers) (which is 650 DPs). Challenges can be run using the free daily tokens (https://ddowiki.com/page/Challenges#Challenge_Tokens), but you cannot earn 150 House C favor with just Challenges, making the SotA pack a de facto must-have if you're trying to unlock Artificer via Favor. There are three quests and two raids in SotA; technically you can run them all prior to level 21, although I don't know if anyone runs the raids anymore.
So you either farm for 650 DPs to unlock the SotA pack, then run the quests and challenges until you hit 150 House C favor; or you farm for 995 DPs so you can buy Artificer outright. [Of course, if you wait until the next time either or both go on sale, you don't need as many DPs, but it's impossible to predict when that will be.] Good luck either way.

Okay them following this information and calculations, its actually better to just save the additional points to unlock the Artificier directly on the whole account than going through the effort to do so through favor.

I unlocked: Artificer, by doing the House Cannith Challenges and playing; Secrets of the Artificers quests. I was in PUG groups for the Challenges as I'm not great at soloing them.
The House Cannith Raids are fun but LFM Groups for those two Raids are hardly ever posted - you might see less than 5 per year posted. I suspect partly because of the amount of time it takes to travel to those Raid entrances. If you want to only play Artificer on every single server regularly, then yes it would possibly be easier to purchase the item.
