Returning, need advice

Hey.

I'm returning after a few years gone and had questions on getting back in the game.

What's the best Flavor of the Month these days?
I see people rolling a "We need a server merge" build.
Is that for end game or is it just for grinding?
I was thinking of rolling an old school Memner GIF build.
Still viable?

I see some threads I posted in many many years ago still on the front page.
I'm glad everyone still runs the classic content.
Any new bugs to worry about?
Is "Hi Welcome" still a quest auto-fail?

Until U45, Inquisitive. Get a Ratcatcher from Threnal, Epic Storm from DQ and start mowing down mobs. Completely fill the Inquisitive tree. Put some points in Harper or Falconry depending on class.

No time to farm? Find a vorpal x-bow for general mobs, craft 1-2 other for troublesome types.

Sorc and Wiz are ok now too.

After 45, Alchemist.

When is U45? "Soon".

Memnir GIF builds aren't META, but they're still solid and they aren't going to be targeted with nerfs anytime soon. Make sure you get your Fire Caves loot and that will be your Best In Slot until level 28.
