Hope you transferred everything over because they will be gone.
From what I can see, I will give an educated guess
1/3 population liked HC
1/3 population didn't care
1/3 population thought is was evil
lol oh well, can't make everyone happy.
I am SO.......ready for season two
hope there are new cosmetics
a way for premiums to get in
eliminate opportunities to buy your way to lvl 20 (if possible)
more award levels
shared bank in dead lands
SO.your thoughts, hopes, gripes, whatever ....
let us hear it :-)

I was a big fan of the idea behind the HC league. I was very unhappy about the way it was implemented.
The Pay To Win servers are not my cup of tea. Watching the regular servers turn into ghost towns was not great, either.

<------- no fan of pay to win on a competitive server
other servers are ghosted, can not be helped
players can only play 1 toon at a time and the issue
there is not the HC server, it is that a server merge is LONG over due.
If your population can barely keep things going...time to merge

Premium players got screwed and the live servers got ghosted.
Well, that's a self defeating statement. If the premium players got left behind on the live servers, they were not ghosted. If they allow premiums in hardcore 2, then the live servers will be ghosted :)

If everyone decides to move to (pick a server) then all the rest get ghosted.
The problem is not when players move...for whatever reason.
The problem is too many servers for the current total population.
How many servers are on LOTRO?
exactly...
You can only spread the peanut butter so thin.
There needs to be like 2 or 3 servers.
We really need to push to get it done before the empty servers themselves start to scare
away new players.

I enjoyed it and hope they do another seasonal server of some flavor or another.
I liked that there was a real consequence to dying. Permadeath was a little stiff for my tastes, though. Being a somewhat casual player (by this game's standards), once I died I felt there really wasn't enough time left to get to any of the reward tiers. My one death was my own fault but I'm sure plenty died from lag too. I'm not sure this game is really that well suited to PD.
Mostly I just enjoyed playing in a game world that wasn't so full of bloat and power creep. I thought running on a first life character, having to scrape and scavenge for halfway decent gear, no guild buffs, no shared bank full of plat and twink gear, etc. was more challenging and more conducive to grouping than running reaper on the god-like characters we have on live. I was so happy when I pulled some lootgen vendor trash (by live server standards) item out of a chest that powered me up just a little.
I also would like to see no store on the next one.

Premium players had the option to play on HCL. It was $29.97 USD for a 3 month VIP subscription which could be cancelled after 3 months if desired.
I feel like SSG made the right decision to make HCL a subscription benefit. Enticing players to subscribe by making VIP more attractive is a logical first step toward digging this game out of the P2W grind joke it has become. That model is for throw-away cell phone games. It's not becoming of an intricate MMO that people play for years. We've seen the long term effect of this model on DDO. It drives many players away and discourages new ones from joining.
