Looking at the in development area of ddo wiki

Year 2020 - maybe alchemist and some balancing and and thats about it.
Year 2020 lacketh a lot of info.
Given, likely 4 major updates (as per usual)
Other than 1 class held over...no real input.

How are we to complain about future stuff if we don't know what it is?

KotC itself should be some help for THF considering its a THF-supporting tree, at least for a subset of builds - but that's how SWF started getting improved with Swashbuckler too.

Devs have said they know THF needs help too, they just havent officially announced any specific plans for it yet - not that they have announced there is none, nor that there isnt still plenty of room for it in 2020. I wouldnt be surprised if KotC upgrade came along with some other corollary improvements to THF, like the incremental ones they already put in the recent ED update.

The problem is they released OP weapons based on current thf. Any change to 2hf will have to reflect that.

thf was a problem long before we ever needed a dual x-bow class, long before we needed a human with paladin traits or a demon looking abomination, we needed this beloved core part of the game to be addressed long before all the money grubbing mess the deemed more important to publish.

And the thf ED stuff was (i really wish i could speak my mind here but just assume i said something bad) and the dev communications about melee and thf in particular (see my sig) doesn't fill anyone who loves 2hf with any form of confidence.

Ah yes the complaining, hard to keep it up at times;)

Be not worried there will be plenty of opportunities for that in a few weeks, a good 8 days or so of it, my crystal balls are telling, yes I have two and apart from the double vision it causes me, it was a nasty indecent so I would prefer not to go into too much detail of how I obtained them:p,
Mid to late January, possibly even in the second week, there will be periods of sever down time lasting up to 48 hours effecting two severs at a time, while important work is carried out, a 2 down 6 up thing.

then later in the year we might see a mix of self righteous jubilation and shock with a sprinkle of moaning.


Oh talking of moaning the crystals are going dark, my balls are turning a funny color...

2020 plans ETA: 2020.... possibly 2021 or if delayed 2023. But later, you’ll have a preview about everything that’s already in game.

Given 20/20 is all about hindsight, they can only reveal the plans that have already happened. Possibly in a montage scene with a fantasy beat.
