Stairwell spike traps in Strahd raid

Is there some trick you can play with the graphic settings to make the spikes on the tower stairs in the Strahd raid more visible? I can barely see them, and therefore have a hard time avoiding them.

You could turn up the brightness gamma contrast

But I find that getting around them by exaggerating the distance i.e. the damage effect seems to be about an arms length more than the visual shows

Hug the wall and teeter on the ledge around them works for me
