Hello,

I have a Sorceror character who is a female Aasimar. She has Wisdom at 10, and I constantly get the message that she is unable to use the racial Healing Hands (Hands, not Hams !) because the Wisdom is too low.

Is this a bug or WAI ?

Plus, the text isn't absolutely clear on how many points these Healing Hands would heal. The text reads a bit as if there was a variable in the description text missing ?

DDO Wiki says :

which heals ( 10 + Character level ) x Wisdom modifier.

The in-game description text seems to miss a bit of that information ?

Personally, I don't quite understand this. Shouldn't racial Healings Hands be independent of the Wisdom value ?

Plus, nowhere within the game I'm told that the racial Healing Hands need a minimum amount of Wisdom, so to say.

Besides, I'm also not told anywhere within the game what the minimum of intelligence is to get more than 1 point in the skills window. Everywhere (in the Wiki s well) I only read "+ intelligence modifier", but I'm nowhere told that if I take too few intelligence points, I get only 1 point for the Skills window.

Your wisdom modifier is zero?

Zero times any number is zero.
Likely flagged as unusable to prevent negative wisdom modifies from harming you.

The difference between Paladin and Aasimar version is that the Paladin's is based on Charisma, while the racial variant is Wisdom-based.

I do agree that there could be a clearer description somewhere, but I don't know if setting warnings in the character creation screen about the race chosen is within DDO's engine's possibilities.

No. That character has a Wisdom value of 10.

Edit : Just to make that clearer : That character is a "fun build" currently consisting of 4 levels Sorc plus 3 levels Favoured Soul.

A wisdom value of 10 equals a wisdom modifier of 0. 0 times any number is 0.

https://ddowiki.com/page/Skill_point (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/141190-Lay-on-hands-and-Charisma)

"At first character level, that is at character creation (https://ddowiki.com/page/Character_creation), the number of skill points given is equal to {(Class (https://ddowiki.com/page/Class) Skill Points + Intelligence modifier (https://ddowiki.com/page/Ability_modifier)*) x 4}. At each level (https://ddowiki.com/page/Level) gained, character receives a number of skill points equal to Class (https://ddowiki.com/page/Class) modifier (https://ddowiki.com/page/Modifier) + Intelligence modifier (https://ddowiki.com/page/Ability_modifier), with a minimum of 1 skill point per level (https://ddowiki.com/page/Level) after modifiers."

So it looks like you are modifier down from low inteligence and getting only the minimum of 1 point.

Drink an Owl's Wisdom pot and see if it works afterwards? (10>14 means 0>+2 Wis modifier). If so, you're good to go - just remember to throw on a Wisdom item before using Healing Hands, or at least run w/Wis augments :)

yall this has nothing to do with the stats, go to feats and look for racial feats and make sure the stance is active.

I don't think so, that was my assumption by the title as well but OP said he got a message that specifically said his wisdom isn't high enough. The stance has nothing to do with wisdom.

that again? No, it shows you also don`t care to read, as differentiating wisdom score from wisdom modifier has nothing to do with math - at all.
