This week's freebie has been a free Sentient Toolkit (https://ddowiki.com/page/Item:Sentience_Toolkit), by redeeming the code SENTIENTKIT in the DDO Store.
This ML 20 item allows you to safely remove a sentient gem or valued filigree from a sentient weapon. (Gems cannot otherwise be removed from an existing weapon, and existing filigrees are otherwise destroyed before applying a new one in that slot. See: https://ddowiki.com/page/Sentient_Weapon#Tools)
Now, you may not be Level 20 now, but traditionally, for the midwinter Sales (about 1 month from now!), the expansion pack Menace of the Underdark (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/497443-DDO-Store-Sales-quot-Select-Adventure-Packs-quot?p=6166886#post6166886) (along with Shadowfell Conspiracy), which opens Epic Destinies and makes Epic play practical, has gone on sale for as much as 75% off!
My point is - if you think you may be getting that (as a gift to yourself, perhaps?), and going on to Epic play after the new year, plan ahead and grab this free toolkit while it's here. It's normally 150 DP in the store (5 for 195, 10 for 245), and comes in really handy for those "smack my head" moments. :cool:
