What quest(s) did you skip and why?

What did you run on a lower setting?

While perhaps there won't be enough data here to be statistically significant, it would be interesting to get a barometer for quests that were skipped in order to aid this thread: https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/510008-Nerfing-content-into-the-ground


My Skips:

ToEE 2 - Tricky end mechanic
Titan Raid - Buggy columns cause instant death. (We did the pre-raid no problem)
Reaver's Fate - It had been a long time and I was concerned about the large damage spikes
In the Flesh - Beholder city
Frosty Tower - Never ran, heard it's long and obnoxious
Toxic Treatment - Difficult end fight
Everything Epic - I hit 5061 with 10 reaper points and called it a day.


Did it on a Lower Difficulty:

Dreaming Dark Capstone - End fight adds make this a bit difficult

For my 5k run I hit the reward after doing the first 3 drow quests. So overall I didnt run:
Hiding in plain sight
Shrieking mines
Ghoula Fang
Titan pre & raid
Demon Queen pre & raid
Tower of frost
A new invasion
Tower of despair
Creeping death
Monastery of the scorpion
Terminal delerium
All the challenges
Portal opens
All the demonweb chain & CiTW
All the other epics

I also ran a lot on just hard difficulty:
Heroic devil assault (ran at 10, soloed and wasnt too bad)

All the archons quests

The underlane assisgnment

All the rest of Shavarath
Enter the kobold

I ended up soloing a whole lot of lv 18 & 19 quests, all of wheloon, my first run of soul splitter, shavarath, archons & to curse the sky, all the madness quests, last two stormhorns, 1st druids (almost died due to white dotting end boss), and all the epics I ran.

I'd need to look at my compendium to give you a proper list... though I also did the various challenges to have more wiggle room with quests to skip and still get 5k+. (ended up with 5228 at the end, so I could have skipped more if I wanted to , but I was also helping others with their journey, so ended up exceeding the 'goal' by a little bit). A lot of my skip list I could have done (either on elite or on hard for safety) but ended up not so that I could go into epics and spend time doing reapers at cap. So even though I was not at the top of the favor leaderboards (I think I ended up around 39th place), I was able to get all rewards (favor, level and reaper) on the same character.

Some of the Kobold Island challenges (hard to get a group for, and most are not worth trying to solo. The other challenges though were either soloable or I could get a group for)

Lower Difficulty:
Devil Assault

Breaking the Ranks
Menace of the Underdark quests (I will have to check, I originally did these all solo on Hard, but repeated some in a group on elite)

Note: A lot of my skips I could have done easily on hard or even elite, but chose not to as my goal was simply 5k, not leaderboard position.

(and yes, the above list does mean that I did do some dangerous quests on elite/reaper. Slave Lords part 3 elite, Invaders! and some of the other beholder heavy ones (but not all of them), and even did some raiding, such as heroic HoX, VoD, ADQ, VoN, and TS)
