I thought I saw an option in the DDO store to buy different fur colors for druids in wolf form. Now I can't find it. Or was it a collectable turn in?

They're usable on wolves, too. And yes, it's just a pattern but there are different colors of the pattern.

So I can get 6 different horse colors but none for my Druid Wolf?

Is there any word that the devs are going to add colors? We are running a duo, 2 wolf forms, 2 pets, 2 summons. = 6, alot of timber wolves.

Would be nice if we could customize just a lil to tell them all apart.

Don't quote me on it, but I recall that maybe it was a Wizards of the Coast license thing.

To add to the fun, you could both also have a wolf Creature Companion.

What everyone fails to mention here is that War Paint, specifically on wolves, looks completely different for the user and outside observers.
And I happen to like those inverted looks that others get to see as well. Wish it was made same for all.

Doesn't matter. I misread the price.

I thought they were 1,000 mysterious remnants.

They are 10,000 each.


We've scrapped together about 3,500 each so far, in 10 months - 12 here, 8 there. She's new, so we aren't doing everything on Elite (don't want to scare her off)

No way can we afford 10,000 Rems for 1 cosmetic, especially as I can't even preview what it looks like on a non-winter wolf.


This is just sad. SSG, you're really fumbling the ball here.

I drop a ton of AS each week on this game, why can't you sell these cosmetics for DDO pts or AS? And at least update them with realistic colors. Disappointed.

Eventually, you'll have all the Remnant tomes and you'll have all of the remnant gear that will give you a mechanical benefit. What else is there to chase after that aside from cosmetics?

Well, the wife is new to DDO (and gaming! yay!) so we're playing quests at level. Usually that means normal, sometimes hard, rarely elite. I don't want her to get frustrated and lose interest.

If I extrapolate from when we started playing January this year, we will each average ~5000 rems per year. Just looking at the actual USEFUL things (for me, since I came back from 2013)

That's 12,500 x 5 = 62,500 rems, divided by 5000 per year... equals almost 13 years before I would normally look at the Rem Cosmetics.

No offense to SSG, but in 13 years I expect to be piloting a drone to Antares to experience the VR world of Master of Orion XIV :cool:

Once you both get your first few Reaper points, you'll pick up the remnants a lot faster.

How much faster? I run a 15th lvl on Reaper2 and average about 100 per quest, is that normal?


...but again, she's new, still learning how to aim her spells, so Reaper is maybe a year away for her.

Guess I could grind them myself: 667 MR per day for 30 days = 2 cosmetics ...that I'm not sure I'll even like b/c I can't preview them on a non-winter wolf? Nah.

And l'd probably level both toons doing that and wouldn't want to play a Druid life for awhile, lol.

Are Rems kinda like Kyber Dragonshards to you guys? You don't actually farm them, you just let them accumulate into stacks as you play?


I'm just saying the price point on War Paint is unreasonable. For the +2 Spellpower, MRR, PRR, etc... sure, because that makes your toon stronger. But for a cosmetic? It's not even a "skill display" cosmetic like Reaper Wings, we just want then to distinguish each other out of a pack of 6 identical Timber Wolves. Why not just sell Brown, Black, Grey fur dyes for DDO pts?

I've seen alot of toons with cosmetic armors from the DDO store, but not a single painted wolf form. It's not selling. Druid Wolves are still (barely) the FOM, aren't they? Still a popular class?


I wonder if SSG has a way to track how many War Paints have been purchased for 10k MRs. I bet it is very low.
