View Full Version : Equiping Iron Defender

I had a Docent and something labeled "handwraps" (but list Iron Defender as allowed) drop. When I tried to put them on my Iron Defender, I can't. Instead, it reequips the gear that was on the ID previously. I've tried drag-and-drop the Docent. I've tried to unequip the starting one and put on the new one. I've tried double-clicking the item with my pet's character sheet pulled up. Nothing is working.

How do I put new gear on my ID?

For the weapon, you need a Collar.
You can convert handwraps to a collar in the trapmaking workstation in House Cannith.

I don't know why the docent isn't working. It may be too high level, as the ID uses you Arty level (+Epic) rather than your character level.

Docents and Collars use the ~Iron Defender~ level, which is 1:1 from your Arti levels. So you can be a level 20 character, but if you only took a 2-level dip in Arti, your ID will only be able to use ML 2 gear.

(For Epic, it's character # of classes + Epic levels, iirc)

fyi, shroud collars dont work. Tried making my doggie dust collar and nothing :(

I'm a LVL 3 Artificer. The Docent is listed as Minimum Level 2.

iirc, it's a drag-and-drop process from your Inventory into the Pet Character Sheet.

I just tried the drag-and-drop method again. It still does not work.
