Welcome SAO members and the curious.
As we wrap up this season with hopes of another season, I would like to share some thoughts for future seasons.
A ...LOT... of players from all over died lvl 5-8
ok, my observations on how to get past that deadly range
Reaper - only go with full experienced player groups or pay a bunch of coins to make a full party of gold seal helpers -AND- be lucky
....why? the reapers generally don't kill you ... the tier 3 Champion mobs do.
Reapers are easy to spot and target for quick kill...tier 3 champ are not and they are often in groups of 2 or 3
tier 3 champions will rip through your hirelings like butter
read the ddo wiki section on tier 3 Champ monsters and you will understand we they kill you quick.
elite - Full party or extra gold seal hirelings and go slow - be prepared to run away
Slightly better odds, no tier 3 champs. just tier 2. can still 2 shot you.
See next post.
