Once again Standing Stone Games, players from throughout the DDO community, and associated friends and family are raising money for Extra Life!


These donations are extremely important to people across the globe. Our fundraising through Team Standing Stone Games will help the local Boston Children's Hospital, which provides live-saving treatment and care to children from all over.


As a token of thanks, we will once again be offering minor incentives to people who donate. Also like usual, if you want in on the giveaways, I need you to send me a quick Private Message on the forums here so I can get your info in one place.

I have set a goal of raising $10,000 for the Boston Children's Hospital. Last year we were the top fundraiser for the Boston Children's Hospital, and we'd love to do that again.

Incentives


If you donate at least $10, you will be entered into the various DDO Point and other drawings that are unlocked by Team Standing Stone Games reaching certain milestones. If you donate to me or another Team member, it counts!


There's one important thing, though: Extra Life doesn't provide me with enough info to match your donation to a forum/DDO community name, and I don't get donation info you donate to other team members, so if you donate and want to get a prize, you MUST fill out the following info and PM it to me on the forums here:

Without further ado, here are the incentives!


Group incentives:


$2000 - Ten 500 DDO Point codes and ten picks from the Community Loot List will be randomly distributed to people who donate at least $10 to the fundraising effort through a random-number-generated drawing.
$4000 - Ten more 500 DDO Point and ten more picks from the Community Loot List will be randomly distributed to folks who donate $10+.
$6000 - Ten more 500 DDO Point codes and ten Pork Barrel stacks will be randomly distributed to folks who donate $10+.
$8000 - Ten additional codes for Pork Barrels will be randomly distributed to folks who donate at least ten dollars.
$10000 - We have met our goal! We will give away two Ultimate Fan Editions of the Masterminds of Sharn expansion!


ALSO: Anyone who donates at least $10 will be entered into a drawing for a Masterminds of Sharn Ultimate Edition that we'll award at the end of the fundraiser, provided you've given me your contact info as listed above.

I have a question: if the company that employs me matches my donation, does the total count toward the incentives, or only the portion that came directly from me? I'm pretty sure the company Board of Directors don't need any community loot picks. :-)

This hasn't really happened in the past, but if your company is matching and makes a donation, or you donate on their behalf, I'm in support of adding that total to your donation for the purposes of incentives.

there is an old saying.. Charity begins at home.
Nobody is being forced to give to this, if players wish to support other more local causes at this time then that is great, this is just one many initiatives out there, this event may help in making people consider helping out other alternatives.

If any research can result in reducing suffering for even a minor aliment then it is a step forward. and there will certainly be a spin off effects.

Yes i do, but most organisations have a for-profit side including nearly all charities, i.e. the Red Cross. that is sadly how the REAL world is.

In the case of extra-life, while being non-profit itself, it does fund for-profit companies with no control on how those funds are allocated. Between both games I have more than 200 people to get back to, so yeah, might take a little while. "Plan" is to try to get everything, both Extra Life and Movember, wrapped up by mid-December. However, Extra Life will be done first, and I will be starting to reply back to people regarding individual incentives perhaps as soon as this evening.
