Bad set up on the Sharn expansion

So I bought Sharn for points thank you for putting it in store. I did a Sharn Welcome and two other quests but got called away, and now Im stuck with having to repeat them because you set them up so you had to do them in one sitting in order to access them. Very poor design I must say.

This sounds very odd. I am perfectly capable of doing some of them and then return later.

I am not sure what went wrong, but here is how i do it without problems.

First you need to be able to get to sharn. You can either do that by airship or by completing the quest in the harbor - not sharn docks - and get access to sharn.

When in sharn speak to "Summer Korranor" to start the first chain. He will then guide you to the next person you need to talk to to start the next quest in the chain. This is as any other chain in ddo and you should be able to complete the first two and then return without problems.

I think a similar issue is there for the Necropolis where you can't enter the final quest on the chain unless you do em in one go.

I can't say for sure if this is the case for Sharn as I have yet to run into that problem for that pack.

You have to do the first quest in each chain which unlocks all but the last quest in the chain. It is possible to do the quests in the middle of each chain out of order which can seem like you have to backtrack to complete the chain. Could you have maybe done quests 1, 3 and 4 (best laid plans and same old song) and accidentally skipped quest two (red rain)? I can assure you the mechanic you are describing is not the case and you absolutely do not have to complete the chain in one sitting.

As stated this is not true. Have run these many times and never encountered this. Unless there is some bug with buying it from the store?

Did you talk to the NPC quest givers after you completed the quests, and claim your reward?

The chain guide NPC will keep telling you go to see the same NPC until you actually claim the reward and "complete" the quest. So if you never completed Sharn Welcome and two side quests, then he'd still be telling you to go complete Sharn Welcome...you'd go to the NPC, claim your reward from last time (clearing the flag) but then immediately run the quest again not realizing you didnt have to. Then he'd guide you towards the second quest, you'd claim your reward and immediately re-take it again, etc. etc.

Maybe that made you think you needed to re-run it, when you really just needed to fully complete it from the first time.
