Do palemasters die @ 0 hp while in undead form?

Usually you have a moment to drop undead form when you go down to try to stabalize. Would be kinda hard to test in hardcore, leveling to 3 over and over to die on purpose and try to drop it in time. I would guess it works like live, and you are not dead for just a second after you go down.

My only undead on hardcore got blasted to well below threshold.

It's an undead trait, autodead when incapacitated

Undead players being destroyed upon reaching incapacitation is a removed feature that is no longer part of undead traits.

As an aside that I found funny, behind the scenes, there was actually a script that only ran if you were undead. If you ever hit the incapacitated LifeState, it then stepped in and killed you.

Follow up questions regarding this & undead traits:

Human->Don't Count Me Out-> This extends range of unconsciousness. So if above is correct, this enhancement will work for a palemaster in an undead shroud?
Do palemaster in an undead shroud have these traits: a) deathblock, b) deathward, c) disease immunity, d) poison immunity, e) breath underwater , f) level-drain immunity, g) other??

I don't really play undead but I guess you could see it both ways ... If you are incapacitated ... You should auto stabilize and maybe all undead forms get diehard feat. But I could see it other way that once your less than 0 HPs ... You're toast.

shouldn't all undead be in the land of lost souls? After all they aren't alive ;)

1: They are players and have a normal Unconsciousness range. Everything works as you'd expect. The only thing that has changed is there is no longer a script that follows them around with a baseball bat, waiting for them to almost die so it can kill them for real.

2: I'm just going to copy and paste from their immunities block, which has been functionally unchanged since roughly 2012. Pale Masters (and other Undead Players) are immune to: Death, Energy Drain, Exhaustion, Fatigue, Poison, Sickness, Stun, Paralysis, Sleep, Charm, Fear, Nausea, Disease, Confusion, the Death Ward spell, and the Death Ward spell's auxiliary ward component that wards against Negative energy damage. Finally, their Positive healing is cut by 50%, they become able to be healed by Negative damage, they are fully immune to Repair, Rust, and Poison damage, and can breathe underwater.

<snip> and can breathe underwater.

Are you sure it's in their immunities block?
Pale Master Core 3 states: Passive: While in a Shroud, you can breathe underwater.

So unless you take Core 3, you soudn't breathe underwater, yes?

Unable to confirm as the 2nd attempt to do so was spectacularly unsuccessful, but I'm unsure that Lesser Death Aura is working correctly when Incapped.

I know for a fact that the first time I died on a PM I was at -4 with 15/16 seconds left on the aura. I just kept dropping.

Tried to reproduce but misjudged things a little. No death Aura at all was going to help at -65...

I found that little snippet in the core enhancements weird when I first saw it.. but in my experience with making a palemaster on the hardcore server, he was able to breathe underwater when in a shroud.. so, starting at level 3 with the second core and shroud selection. *shrug*

Ah, we were gonna pull it out of base undead and decided to not do so as we moved through implementation. I'll adjust the tooltips.

All of our Aura spells (repair aura, positive energy aura, Wail of the Banshee, etc) only function while you are fully alive. Becoming Incapacitated while under any of those spells suppresses their effects.

when incapaci****ed the healing income from auras (not from cocoon nor shiradi spring) turns off, literally xD

btw lynnabel wouldn't be nice to remove buffs (positive only lol) by clicking on em?

I second this. I had a party member cast rage on my mechanic rogue the other day, which basically just lowers my AC. Being able to click off buffs is a nice feature. Granted, I have no idea how much work that would take, so I understand if it's not possible. The use case is pretty limited, but it's nice to have the option, especially for buffs with drawbacks.

fully immune to Repair, Rust, and Poison damage, and can breathe underwater.

I died to poison traps at level 3, level at which I used to be able to swim in aforementioned poison as a zombie.

Which quest? Poison and acid look alike sometimes?

The one poison trap inside Swiped Signet, beyond the first few acid ones.
