HCL Challenge Lockout Broken

The Cannith challenges are locking out anyone more than 4 levels above the lowest CL. This means you can't attempt the level 4-15 challenges after level 8. A lot of players like myself will miss out on favor because we hadn't expected this. (And good luck getting the full 6 stars with a party of level 8's.)

I didn't expect that either but it makes sense.

I saw someone planning to do DA at 19, and I was like do you really think the lockout is not 10?

I wouldn't say it's broken. it just doesn't work they way you thought it would. But yeah, it pretty much means 6 star is very risky. Remember they scale like normal though, a reaper capable group at 8 can do 15 in some of them.

I'll just hit each once on 4 for an easy 3-4 star and if I get 5 that's cool.

Uh, why? Challenges scale in difficulty to player level, so lvl 15 players going into a lvl 15 challenge that unlocks at lvl 4 aren't "overlevelling" like they would be in, say, Water Works; in fact, they're not overlevelling at all. That's just sloppy/hasty coding that didn't account for the different types of maps in the game. Sounds broken to me.

Yeah for Challenges (a type of quest) this does'nt make any sense at all. Especially with one of the rewards on the server being for getting 5k favor. The only way to get max favor on a challenge is to do it at max level. You get +1 favor for each star, plus another one for completing it at max level. If a challenge has a level range (that you choose. You decide what the challenge level is) from 1 - 15, in order to get max favor from a completion, you MUST complete the level 15 version, but with the lockout, you can only enter it if you're level 5 or under.

Wipe the Hardcore Server and start over. It's the only way to be sure.

I did Circles of Power yestrrday. I was level 8 and a party member was level 9.
