There have been a few cool additions for turn spec'd builds. (Filigrees, Celetial Beacon, the new tattered scrolls from THTH.)
One thing I noticed with them is a huge gap in gear. The gear makes a huge jump from numbers like Eternal Faith at 2/2/4 and Silver flame at 6, up to 19. Nothing in between. )Celestial Beacon also only affects one of the three turn related bonuses.)
So request #1. Add the ability to cannith craft bonuses to turn level, max HD and total HD. Have them scale.
Next, the scaling into epics falls off pretty hard. This leads me to...
Request #2. Add epic levels to the effective turning level.
Request #3. If in a Divine Sphere, each core adds +1 to effective turning level.
Next, a 54 Charisma maxes out the turn table at +4. No roll of the d20 is needed. Messing with the table overall would make it more powerful at low levels where it already works well. So here is...
Request #4. Extend the turning table upwards. Follow the same progression, just continue to scale up to account for todays much higher CHA values.
Finally, the total HD turned is woefully inadequate in epics. This brings up...
Request #5. Scale the turning damage formula. Currently it uses a 2d6 roll. A couple options could be:
---- add a d6 at level 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30. Current range is 2-12. New range would be 7-48.
---- scale the dice. 2d8 at 22, 2d10 at 24, 2d12 at 26, 3d10 at 28, 2d20 at 30. Or some version that scaling.
Thanks for reading.
