I don't know anything about challenges, save you can do them by going to the House Cannith Enclave and (if you are f2p) picking up a Daily Challenge Token.
Though there is the wiki...
(all from the wiki)

Vaults of the Artificers

Eveningstar Challenge Pack
(included w/ Menace of the Underdark)

I have a pure cleric. First life.

What level range challenges are there?
How many are there/difficulty of each?
Any (relatively easily) soloable challenges?
Minimum effective party for 5- starring a challenge?
-number of party members
Reality of 5- starring challenges?
Basically anything relating to challenges.

I wrote this in 10 minutes, guess I'll add clarifications later (for those with question).
[hmmm]

Any advice would be welcome, I don't really care if you're an expert on a particular challenge or whether you want to go through each one less in-depth, it's fine by me.
I'm not really after the xp BTW, just the favor...

This should cover most of your questions.

EllisDee37's excellent guide (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/429624-Cannith-Challenge-Tutorials)

Technically you can complete the challenges on any character, but really what you want is a character with a) Dimension Door b) High movement speed and c) Lots of DPS.
Clerics are non-ideal challenge runners, they tend to be slow and don't have access to dimension door (unless you're a dragonmarked human).
Most people roll up an iconic for farming the challenges.

Thanks guys.
That cleric is the only character I plan to, and have, spent time on, though. I only want to get her to 1750 favor to unlock 32- point builds, then lesser reincarnate her using the lesser heart of wood given to everybody.

I don't have any other classes/races, and probably won't get any more (seeing as how this cleric is all I'm doing), so basically it's impossible. :(
Honestly though, I'm not surprised.

Whatever sounds fun to you, go for it :)

I just want to make sure you're aware of your options...by the time you hit 1750 favor you should be close if not at L20. You can do a True Resurrection to gain even more stat points, even if you havent unlocked 32-pt builds...you'll get 34 and eventually 36. The 32-pt unlock only helps with new alts rolled on that server, but since you dont plan on playing alts, it probably wont help you.

TRing will give you additional bonuses depending on your race and class - and you have all the F2P ones to choose from. It will also reset your favor, letting you earn more free DDO points towards unlocking new content. TRing can be done for free, if that's your worry, too.

If you just leave your cleric parked at 20 on her first life, especially if that's your only character...I think you'll quickly find there isnt anything to do anymore, there's no point in playing, no goal to chase. You wont be earning favor, the XP you earn will go to waste, and your cleric will stop progressing in any way. You'll just kinda be doing quests just to do them. And, on top of that, you'll be stuck with very little content at your level, since there isnt a whole lot of L20 quests.

My personal views on the VotA challenges below (difficulty scale 1-5 where 1 is easiest)

Challenge Name / Level range / Solo Diff / 5* Solo Diff

Dr. Rushmore's Mansion (use any level effective hirelings & pets that you can - more mobs=more crests, I like to run the lvl 20 with FvS hireling, Owlbear, Alabaster Lioness and Arti Dog)
: Behind the Door / 4 - 15 / 1 / 4 (all of the Rushmore challenges rely on a certain amount of luck in finding the right crests)
: Moving Targets / 8 - 20 / 1 / 4
: Picture Portals / 15 - 20 / 1 / 4

Extraplanar Palace (leave a Favoured Soul hireling near the start to protect / heal the Kobolds)
: Buying Time / 12 - 20 / 1 / 3
: Labor Shortage / 14 - 20 / 1 / 4
: The Dragon's Hoard / 8 - 20 / 1 / 5 (not guaranteed that 120 monsters will spawn when solo)

Kobold Island (always do these proper solo - no hireling or pets, much easier that way)
: Kobold Chaos / 4 - 15 / 1 / I think this is impossible
: The Disruptor / 8 - 20 / 2 / I think this is impossible
: Short Cuts / 15 - 20 / 1 / 5

Lava Caves (leave a Favoured Soul hireling near the start to protect / heal the Kobolds)
: Circles of Power / 4 - 15 / 1 / 3
: Colossal Crystals / 8 - 20 / 3 / I think this is impossible
: Time is Money / 15 - 20 / 1 / 3

All of these are relatively easy to solo with the right character - as others have mentioned, DDoor helps a lot, but I have at some point 5* all of the above (except the ones I marked as impossible) without it.

Now, running the quests trying to get 5* is different to running them trying to get max ingredients (e.g. if running for max ingredients, you don't care if a kobold dies, or if you find all the portraits etc) - so decide what your goal is before you start
