wish for memories reincarnation question - ETR first - lost wish???

Hi all, I purchased a wish for memories human and drank the potion during my life as an aasimar. this was clearly labeled at the top of the screen that my next reincarnation would give me a human past life. well, I leveled all the way to 30 and did an ETR, and now that is missing (the box that says next life will be human).

1. Did I lose this?
2. If I did, this is not clearly labeled at all. It just says "you will receive during next racial reincarnation"
3. If I lost this, I really think SSG should refund me 995 points.
4. should I buy another one before I do my racial?

Try to check the past life you get by starting the racial TR process. If the table says your received rpl feat is human, then proceed. Otherwise, just cancel it. (iirc reincarnation applies only when you type your name in and confirm)

I suspect that it is lost, if I remember correctly reincarnation basically deletes your character and remakes it hence me thinking it is lost. I would certainly send in a bug report regarding this and hopefully it won't happen to others (assuming I am correct).

Grants you the Human Racial Past Life instead of your current race on your next Racial Reincarnation.

That is the description in DDO store. An ETR is not a racial reincarnation. It gives you an epic PL feat and you lvl to 30. Based on the description, when you finish the ETR, you should get the racial reincarnation of human if you use a heart of blood at lvl 30. I could be wrong, but I think that's how it should work.

First thing I would verify is if you received the appropriate epic past life.
Second thing I would verify is if you did not actually receive a human past life (out of an ETR) in addition to or instead of the epic past life.

Hey guys, ok, so I checked this morning and here is what I found out.

1. I did receive the correct epic past life
2. when I stared the process to do a racial, I used the heart of blood and the rewards were as follows:

a. character respec
b. +2 build points (already at 36, so this doesnt count)
c. new life at level 1.

There was a note at the beginning stating that past lives can be stacked only 3 times. A fourth reincarnation grants no additional stacks to a feat.

Looks like it is lost. I have a ticket in, but this is def a bug given the description purely states that you get the past life after you RTR, and does not state that if you do an ETR, you lose this.

Hi Devs, can you please weight in?? I am kind of at a stopping point and doint want to do a racial without getting my human wish. (I am playing aasimar and I have 3 racials and this my fourth in a row of aasimar)

Before anyone says anything about read the description and you should know better....this is a legitimate issue as many go from 1-30, ER then RTR or TR. I assume you drank the potion before starting the ER process knowing that you would immediately RTR after. A far as I know an ER does not do a complete character wipe like a true TR would. I would say PM a dev and have them look into it and have a GM meet you in game at a specified time. Do not wait for a ticket to resolve your issue as you will grow wary.

This is exactly what I did. I drank the potion right after a TR and then leveled all the way to 30. the icon was clear as day in the upper left hand corner of the computer screen saying I would receive a human past life when I completed a Racial TR. I then proceeded to hit 30 and ETR. Once I leveled up to 20 during the ETR process, I was planning on doing a racial TR when I noticed the icon was missing stating I would recieve a human past life upon RTR.

Which Dev should I PM? I am not familiar with anyone other than Lynabel and Cordovan.

I've talked to Cordovan and he says it could be something where an epic reincarnation essentially has a less reincarnation as well. this could be the issue. I believe it is going to be resolved when I login next time. He asked for my ticket number, which I don't have on me at the moment.

anyway, I like this idea where it is treated like a heart of wood where you move a physical item into the reincarnation grove popup.

Other things I have suggested were to make it super clear that if you accidentally RTR from level 30 instead of doing an ETR first, there is a giant warning asking if you are sure you don't want to ETR first!. (happened to me...embarrassing...)

Issue solved! Thank you Cordovan and team!

So, I ended up getting refunded all 995 points, so I was able to re-purchase my human past life.

Note to folks out there that have not tried this:

Make sure you do not use the wish if you plan to go to 30 and ETR first. It will remove the tome completely because an ETR includes a lesser TR/
After you ETR, level all the way to 20, THEN use the wish. It will show correctly when you put your heart of blood at the reincarnation grove

Not good that you lost it, but I can confirm that they work when you use them 10s before an RTR. CS may take a while (weeks) or never respond at all. Buying another would almost certainly work if you're about to RTR. It's actually a federal crime when they sell something on the store that doesn't work and don't immediately reimburse or fix it (wire fraud); unfortunately, that's simply how they do business and hitting the store again is often the only way to get a fix at all.

If this were actually the case (and applied internationally too), all online games selling "stuff" would have a much better customer support - more like they did originally around ~ 2000. When they didn't tend to sell stuff yet. So, I don't believe it.
