Hey people of Thelanis!
Try to find somewhere (a public place, e.g. The Marketplace, House Deneith, etc.) that fits these requirements and take a screenshot of it, then post it here:
Restrictions:
1. You cannot use people you are familiar with, or have more than 2 people from the same guild in a picture.
2. Only random people (i.e. those you don't know) count; no NPCs.
3. Everybody has to fit into one screenshot.
4. No organizing a screenshot (just an average, everyday scene in a public location).
5. Floating names tags must be on, but Alt + Z is fine.

The Harbor: minimum of 10 people.
Challenge - find 11 people instead

The Marketplace: minimum of 9 people.
Challenge - find 12 people instead

House Deneith: minimum of 8 people
Challenge - find 10 people instead

House Jorasco: minimum of 8 people (should be 7 or 6, but oh well)
Challenge - find 10 people instead

House Kundarak: minimum of 8 people
Challenge - find 10 people instead

House Phiarlan: minimum of 8 people
Challenge - find 11 people instead

House Cannith: minimum of 8 people
Challenge - find 10 people instead

Good luck to all of you! :)

P.S. I come from Thelanis.

You cannot use people you are familiar with

This restriction is just silly. I mean, it's rare for me to go anywhere and not recognize at least 1 player; heck, it's probably rarer for me to see players I don't know. The times of day I play have a fairly consistent group of people.

Of course, that should just prove your point that the population numbers are low anyway.

As the game gets bigger and bigger, people get more and more spread out.

Yes, there are probably less people playing these days, but why would you ask for screenshots from House D, and not Sharn?

FYI, pretty easy to find 10 people standing outside a raid entrance a few times a day.

To Thrudh: Actually, I would beg to differ. As the game gets bigger and bigger (in terms of places to go, I believe you mean), the population amount stays the same. In addition to that, almost everybody being an old player means that... most players will probably be found in areas containing new content (having already exhausted the old content). Concerning those people standing outside of raids, they are (most likely) just old-time xp runners or guildies running a raid.
Here, I'll give you a challenge: try to get a complete PUG for Tempest's Spine (heroic), 12 random completely new players in 2 hours using only the LFM tab. And while you're at it, enjoy House Jorasco's scenery with Chamberlain. At least, that's what I had to go through.

I would love a picture of the marketplace actually functioning as a... market. You know, with... buyers. Korthos Island is also pretty sparse. What a shame, the dragon must have killed all of those would-be adventurers...

Thrudh and I historically haven't agreed on much-and he says things much more diplomatically than I do. OP, what is the intent of this post? Seriously what are you trying to accomplish? If it's to prove a point about the lack of a robust PUG environment in a 13 year old game, yeah you are preaching to the choir. Everyone knows this. If your in-game attitude is the same as your forum attitude, you may not be a fun date. I am in epics for a few weeks. Hit me up on Piking and I'll invite you to whatever I am doing if you are level-appropriate and flagged. I run fast, but do most optionals, stop to raise the dead, heal others in reaper, give away named loot I don't need, answer questions and give directions when warranted. If you think you can live with that, hit my LFM. Cheers.
