Can't seem to pre-order the Sharn xpac because of this issue. Shame it isn't offered through steam. Anyone know a workaround?

Not sure if this helps, but if its a US VISA Gift Card, then it needs to be registered first or it won't go through. Not sure about other cards, just know this one from first hand exp.

For me, I've tried with 3 different perfectly valid payment options, and it still gives "Payment Authorization Failed" I even tried different browsers and my phone too.
This vague message isn't even helpful. How are we supposed to order your products if the payment system isn't reliable?
I submitted a message, but from what I've heard from other players, it could take a week or more to even hear back.
As much as I love the DDO gameplay, I have to say that a lot of the infrastructure for this game is very amateurish.. from the server lag to these web interface problems. It's wearing on me, and making me start to rethink even bothering with Sharn.

Same issue. "Payment Authorization Failed". Different browsers, different CC's, Paypal, different networks. Submitted a ticket, but in my experience I have at least a week to wait. Probably should have submitted the ticket when the issue first came up, just figured it was a glitch and would go away.

Try changing email accounts
Yeap, did that as well.
The required password is, I think, my favorite. Required, but as far as I can tell you can't actually log on anywhere :)

This just happened to me earlier today, both Paypal, credit and debit card raise the payment authorization failed error message.
The workaround for me is to enter my address like this:
Address Line 1: 9000 street address Apt 400
Address Line 2:
instead of this:
Address Line 1: 9000 street address
Address Line 2: Apt 400
The address has to be in the same line in my case.
I have no idea why, but maybe it needs to be completely the same as the bank statement of the card.
I am not sure about Paypal will work or not with this change because the credit card purchase went though already and I don't need another copy.
Another thing I notice is that the store use name address phone or whatever information in the form instead of the card security code for card verification.
So I figure I'll change the address format and give one last try before I contact customer support.
It works for me, so maybe that's what happened here...
Same thing her as well: tried three different CCs and paypal, all come up with the same non-informative error message "Payment Authorization Failed". Tried umpteen different variations of how to enter address (and name!). Don't know what to do now...would really like to buy the Sharn pack, but not able to.

I tried a dozen different ways, and nothing. Different email, spelling out "Street" as opposed to "St", different payment options, different browsers... nothing.
I want to also note that I had ZERO problems, using ALL of exact same address/payment information when ordering ravenloft awhile back. No problems back then. I can even look up that order online, and it shows it.
And now... all I get is "Payment Authorization Failed" no matter what I do. It sure seems to me like it's a problem on their end. Or possibly a new problem relating with how they are checking the authorization against the payment options used, or something network/web related. Even paypal didn't work.
No one from SSG seems to care either, and I give up.

Still get the payment authorization failure. But they now literally just billed my subscription to the same Credit Card.
Now I need screw with the poor system they have to revert the subscription payment. Ugh.

I simply used a different browser (Chrome). It worked.
