As a nod to a certain deranged ranger from Baldur's Gate, would it be possible to have Miniature Giant Space Hamster as a creature option? They are already known to go for the eyes of opponents based on lore *"Go for the eyes Boo!") You could have the hamster ride kn their companions shoulder until the time to lay the smack down upon their enemies.

Boo must have his exercise, lest he bite us all in hard to reach places.

If hamsters are introduced to the game, I want pale masters to get their green hamster balls back.

I immediately thought they must have put that attack in the tree as a nod to Boo, whose favourite snack is the eyes of evil.

Thats an interesting idea. It also makes me think of more.

Additionally, I wish all Universal trees had one or two enhancements for an animal or monster companion. The attacks do not have to be strong attacks but causing distraction.

Harper could get Wizard and Rogue companions such as cat, rat, parrot, dog , crow, magpie, fox etc. Passive small bonus to +2 spell dc and +2 penetration to the owner and+2-4 luck bonuses to the Harper and friends, similar to Heroism/Greater Heroism. An active clicky that causes a no save distraction, confusion effect with short timer. These would be capped numbers for T5

Vistani could get poisonous etc vampire bat, poisonous snake , poisonous spider, poisonous midget wyvern and similar ones. Cons damage, poison, slowing, tiny tick attacks that would effect the Dodge chance or ac of the nearby enemies. All specs would cap at T5

Falconry might be Ranger, Druid companions such as Birds of prey, Rodents, Small Wild cats with direct damage, blindness, etc. (I dont think devs would change Falconry fast after the last revamps anyhow.

Virtual AI

The desires and hopes about summon/companion issue which long time DDO fans spoken out througout the years. Falconry is certainly not the same what the players expect of companions or summons. We DDO nerds will allways be nagging and weeping and pulling Devs as if we are small children after a candy; when it comes to Virtual AI summoned companions. Nothing to be ashamed. Not an easy task for any developer who walks upon the earth.

Player: ' I want a summon/companion/pet that will wellcome and chat with me when I log in to the game. The summon should have problem solving ability and should serve me fresh coffe and cookies. :P '

Developer: '...'

About Summoned companions (The summons):

As serious spell point costing summons (not companions):

Extra bonus for the Wizard who specialise at certain school. Less bonus for multi-school spec wizards but more variety. Less variety but more bonus for single-school spec wizards...Both of these has its own weakness and strength when DR, Alignment, types of enemies are calculated.

For the

Conjurer Summoner: Existing monsters but also good old Kobold, Hobgoblin, Minotaur, Illithid, Duergar. More durable version of Npcs with their original specialities.

Necromancer: Reanimating the dead npcs that has just passed away... as undead.

Transmuter: Ooze, Cube and the similar... types.

Abjurer: Pure force and semi mechanical summons.

Illusionist: Shadows and the similar but also Illusion versions of monsters with extra blur effect but lower stats and hitpoints.

Full focus wizards would get extra +1 ac, %1 dodge and % 10 hitpoints to their summons for each level.

Multi spec class wizards would have acces to extra types of npc summons but the full ac, dodge, hitpoint bonus to summons would carry on,only for the School of wizardy with the highest focus. (From feats or Enhancements or both ?)

Damage of summons would not scale equally anyhow. So summons would distract enemies as if meat shield with fair enough Ac, Dodge and Hitpoints.

Summons can interact with levers, doors and the similar. (?)

Summons can also regen player hp,sp and serve the player warm milk and cookies... and can sing an actual lullaby. (Lol no :P)

I'm sad there isn't a mechanical bird option(like the arty dog), this is still eberron after all.
A bat (though not a bird) and pinguin would have have been funny too
"Ozzy": workharde or i'll bite your head off!

The introduction of sharn would have been a perfect reason to add them to the list.

New tree please, "Hamstery".

Description: You spent too much time alone in the forest, way way too much, far from sane human contact you developed the ability to talk to small rodents, that or hallucination from all the unidentified berries you have consumeth. You now believe in your supernatural bond with hamsters, squirrels and rabbits, and that they will assist you in combat.
