So after investing in more unconsciousness range, I thought I would have an unconsciousness range of -449 after Ward Token, Eternal Defender, 3 tiers of Positive Opposition Material Legendary Greensteel, Steel's Bold Coffee plus ship buff.
Turns out that the extra 40 unconsciousness range from Ward Token's Holding and either one of enhancement or insight bonus to unconsciousness range do not stack.
So I'm at -409.
Which is still nice, but could be better.
Which bonus type is Ward Token coded in as anyway?

does the combat log say anything?

It doesn't even mention it actually. But I do know the 40 from Ward Token does work, just gets overwritten by either t1 or t2 of POM Legendary Greensteel because those two have values over 40 and I get the same unconsciousness range if I just remove the Ward Token.

Really curious, have you ever gotten to -400 but not been at like -1200? I find that I'm either barely below 0 (and most enemies stop hitting me) or pretty far (eat a 2k hit at 500 HP).
Seems like you could test what bonus type it is with a T1 or T2 LGS item, they're super cheap to craft? Just ask people to pass Small/Mediums if you're short :)

I'll test that out the next time I'm in a Legend Shroud group, if it's not t1, it's definitely t2.
I've been to -1200 or so a few times, usually from other players with Ruin/Greater Ruin or R10 Sor'jek.
But since I'm a pure Paladin, anytime I'm reduced down to negatives my Eternal Defender hits me with a heal that heals for 250 before heal amp, so it usually brings me back up to positives again until my self-healing is nerfed enough or it goes past the unconscious-death threshold.

I just figured it's a pretty cheap test, so why not :) if we were talking T3 it's a different matter lol, but I've made 4 T1/2 LGS skill items in the last two weeks lol.
Ah fair, that makes sense. The only character I have with a significant negative threshold is my tank, and generally I only die to lag or Grip of Strahd (and once to a KT raid that took way too long lol). Not a Paladin, but I have a few Heal over Times so I usually end up alive anyway so similar effect :)

It's not t3's quality bonus because that only has 32 range increase so I could see a difference (thank goodness).
And oh yeah Kor Kaza's lightning breath killed me a few times because I was juuuuuust low enough for the damage to go past the threshold and I didn't have my ring of flickering steel back then.
I personally just throw down a consecrate, hit Lay on Hands and intimidate spam and call it a day for most tanking.

I know the thread's a tad old but did you guys figure out which bonus Ward Token is? I'm also interested in this.

Personally tested this, Ward Token's unconsciousness range is typed as enhancement.
