Hi devs,
I just wanted to start by saying nice work on Tiefling and Inquisitive, I am really enjoying playing both!
I made a Scoundrel bard inquisitive and have noticed a couple of issues that I thought I should mention here, since I have not see it reported in the forums yet:
- Using hold person spell causes a freeze lag that lasts at least 5+ seconds and affects everyone in the party. My bard is level 5, and so far this is the only spell that causes this issue. Hypnotism, sound burst, sonic blast, otto's resistible dance and the healing spells all work fine, no freeze lag.
- I took the second core ability from Inquisitive, but did not receive the passive 2% dodge bonus. I am wearing duelist leathers, which has mobility, but these should stack.
The freeze lag with hold person is by far the worst, as it is affecting play severely. I do not know if this matters or not, but strangely, there is no display tooltip for that spell in the hotbar (there is for otto's and all the other spells I have so far).
Thank you for considering these, and I hope these issues won;t cause you too much trouble to fix
Edit: I have found a post on the forums about this:
Playing a lvl 15 Bard, Spellsinger... since latest patch I'm experiencing huge lag spikes in quests. After some time I figured out that they are caused by me: everytime I'm using the single target lvl 2 bard spell Hold Person the whole instance is standing still/lagging for about 5s. Then everything continues normal way, the spell even applies on target. Not only I get the lag, everyone in instance is getting it. Not using the spell any more fixed the bad lag... but I'm used to it and want it to work again. Hoping for a fix ASAP.
Oh, and maybe also fix the empty description/tooltip this spell has (nothing in Tooltip, no text, no DC, no mana costs, just nothing at all). That bug is around for over a year now... seems I'm the only bard using that spell, as I couldnt find any info about this bug in the forums. Also not sure if only bard version of that spell is affected, maybe a cleric/fav soul/wizard/sorcerer can test their version of Hold Person to see if its working without causing lag and has tooltip text.
Simple to test/reproduce this bug: Make a bard, take the lvl 2 Spell Hold Person and use it! Sadly I cant make a bug report, some restrictions on my computer do not allow me to use that form.
