In the UK we're used to seeing prices with VAT included so when I just paid £99.31 for the Ultimate Sharn Bundle I expected to pay £99.31. Tax was added after I agreed to purchase at that price and it actually cost me £119.17 which I'm not prepared to pay. So what now? I'm owed money or if you really expect me to pay that price which I didn't agree to then I want a refund.

It's very misleading. It defaults to US - you paid the US equivalent plus
sales tax. You needed to press the little Union Flag icon in the top right to
switch over to UK pricing. I also paid £99 .99 including VAT.

I did click the UK flag in the top right and all price were displayed in GBP, not USD.

oc I could be wrong but I dimly remember there was a similar situation some roughly 3 years ago affecting European transactions to go over claimed price due to tax and reseller **** or whatnot. Seem to remember that at the time, they appologized and people got sorted out.

So my gutfeel, unless they try to wiggle out a la "your fault for not seeing the tiny flag in the corner and not pressing it" you should be made fine, maybe, soon, TM

best of luck :)

edit: though I think that then affected ingame store buys, it was before billing was switched to xsolla ...

I live in the UK too and didn't even think of this as am used to other purchased through the store going through without VAT. I aim to purchase the pre-order in the next few days. Good luck for you and hope you can get this resolved.

Weird. The prices you've mentioned are almost the exact conversion rates for USD -> GBP (including
the sales tax). You're probably going to have to call CS to figure this out - though it's a third party
which is doing the brokering by the looks of it (Digital River)

The online store (called DDO marketplace) defaults to US even though the currency shown in local. As a Finn I have to use the German flag to get prices in € including VAT.

Contact sales support (not game support) and they will refund the VAT.
It may take several days before they get back to you, but they are really nice and helpful.

(edit) Nice, they have added a small box to change the currency to euros in the British version of the shopping basket.
