GUEST DUNGEON MASTERS SUCH AS: CAMPAIGN CREATOR KEITH BAKER; MAZE ARCANA'S RUTY RUTENBERG & KYLE VOGT.

congratulations on getting the Eberron creator Keith Baker as a guest DM. That is pretty amazing. I actually had been wondering recently whether Keith Baker had any current involvement with input on DDO content creation. He probably is just a guest DM for this expansion, but it is really nice to see the campaign come back around to who started it.

it would be great if DDO had some interviews with Keith Baker.

also nice work on getting Maze Arcana to guest DM for this expansion as well. I was just reading that Ruty and Satine from Maze Arcana are doing voicework for characters in the upcoming Undermountain module in Neverwinter, and felt a bit annoyed .. so I am glad to hear that SSG was able to get Maze Arcana to contribute their talent to Masterminds of Sharn. It is very fitting.

I agree. I love hearing the creators like Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson, and Ed Greenwood playing DM. I am so looking forward to hearing Keith Baker.

Despite their less than perfectly appealing voices I really do enjoy Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. I'm okay with Ed Greenwood's writing, but he could use some training on "period" speech and what not to emphasize in order to sound more natural. Every time I'm running Beyond the Rift and he overly stresses thee, and thou and such I'm unaccountably annoyed. But even he did a better job than Wil Wheaton. I wouldn't have minded so much Wil's wool-gathering DnD life experiences had they been included in some extended-edition extra material type version of ToEE but I was definitely expecting the orbs to give actual dungeon information and backstory... about ToEE not Wil.

Yeah, when he goes off about how he doesn't even really remember playing it, I'm just like "wow, what's the point of you doing this then?" I don't mind Wil Wheaton like some do, but his commentary was just too off point to be interesting.

I agree with Elminster as well. Elminster sounds like a Renaissance fair attendee who wants to immerse themselves but only knows a few pronouns from reading some Middle English texts a couple of times. It doesn't bother me as much as Wheaton though because you could argue it's only there to give a sense of high fantasy and isn't intended to be authentic since it isn't Earth or England anyway.

But I loved Gygax and am excited for Baker. It's fitting that the first time we finally get the main continent of Eberron we get the creator as narrator/DM.

A very cool, and very fitting, addition to the game.

Well ……..

I enjoy the Elminster speaks with Ed Greenwoods voice. After all he is only role playing the wizard he personally created. If that is how Ed Greenwood imagines Elminster I can give him that.
