Food for thought. Making wolf/bear form fur the same color as your human form hair would allow for some nice customization, and it would make sense from a logical perspective (as logical as you can be when talking about fantasy and magic) as your transformation simply accelerates the growth of your already existing hair, rather than replacing your brunette or blonde or black hair with generic brown or white.
And no, the racing stripes sold at the rem vendors aren't an alternative. So much time is spent in your animal form, that's it's nice to have a bit of a reminder of the human form underneath. Fur color matched to hair color would allow for that connection.
