I don't see any reference to Wizard/Sorcerer pass in the Producer's Letter. But I know this is something the devs want to do.

Anyone know anything about this?

I'm having to play WoW again just to play a Mage. Please put me back into DDO with an amazing arcane pass :)

There are plenty of things we hope to accomplish this year that aren't in the Producer's Letter; but as some of those things aren't currently hard-locked to a specific update (and could potentially slip out of this year, not that we want them to), they aren't in the Producer's Letter.

I am hoping a Pet pass in somewhere down the line, those poor little guys need some serious love too. Pale master's skeleton too i suppose, but mostly the dogs.

Amazing arcane pass ? LOL

By 2015 I said that the wizard pass would be made in 2020 given the importance they have to the wizard.
I received an infromation for telling the truth.
Everyone had their pass and all were done with zeal and commitment, wizards just received a mediocre pass from EK with incredible, 3% Spell Critical damage. Magister ED is very, very boring.

Probably Wizard is very low in the list because people can still find a niche as insta-killers or cc'ers. Wizard is indeed multitalented and basically just needs a high DC and a few spells to be effective..

However, I believe it's time for more. Nicer trees. Maybe the ability to change some spell effects..
At least I hope a few necessary updates, such as Wizards still having to pay 6 points for +90 sp while everyone else pays 3 points for +100. Things like that would help already.

I find Sorcerers in a far worse shoes to be honest. I play mostly at 30 so my view only applies there. I have seen the forum builds they hardly even use their own prestige trees.

Wraith Wizard AM + MoK > anything Sorcerer most of the time.

Both Wizards and Sorcs are great right now.

OP, what do you find lacking?

Old trees with too many obsolete enhancements. Need a pass.

6 points for 90 sp, where all new trees have a similar effect for only 3 points..
capstone giving only +2 INT..
too many points just to upgrade a pet (Pale Master)..
and so on.

I don't disagree, but you have to look at how things work holistically. The trees do kinda suck, but the classes are still strong.

Every time I talk about Sorcs with players, the ones who think the CLASS is strong fall back on PL:FEATS and GEAR-TOMES accumulated in months/years.

While those have nothing to do inherently with the CLASS.

A fresh sorc with gear likely found in treasure is going to have a pretty sad time next to a Barb or even a Pally, if we just compare what each gets from just leveling up and spending aps, ignoring the hoarded raid gear and dozens*dozens stacking passive feats.

I would love for 'Familiars' to find there way into the game.

They've shown it can be done with companions AND with falcons.

I would love to see Wizards finally get their familiars.
