So I have been trying to make a non shuriken/shadow forged dart SB build for along time and may have stumbled across something viable playing 6 rogue 14 fighter by running all vistnani cores and not spending into tier 5(yes it can be done). Rogue lvls are for mechanics core lvl6 and tier 5 enhancements the only other enhancements are 3 into Harper(maybe 5 for weapon enchant) for int to atk since you’d get int to damage from mechanic. By running the enhancements this way its possible to pull 40 ranged power that is often lacking from throwing dagger builds. The reason behind fighter and using int is two fold A: more damage and ranged power from weapon feats and B: heavy armor and tower shields.
So I know the spending 41 into vistani and not taking tier 5 may seem odd but I find it’s tier 5 rather lacking. I’ve had luck running it that way with Kensei twf and it meshes really well.
And erm that’s my idea let me know what you think!

You may need to do the math on melee vs. ranged power. That additional ranged power might be meaningless since your melee power can be higher.
Deepwood Stalker might also be a better choice if you're going that way. You get significantly more doubleshot. While you only get +5 Melee/Ranged Power, you do get another +30 Ranged Power in Precision stances. You'd probably go Dex-based this way, though.
That being said, you're likely to find the damage very disappointing. Shuriken Expertise + Advanced Ninja Training deliver an effective boost to your Doubleshot equal to twice your Dexterity. Given that throwing knives don't really have much of an inherent advantage over shuriken on a per-attack basis, this enormous disparity in attack rate is almost certainly going to limit your effectiveness.
T5 VKF is also a fairly significant boost. Whirling Blades is effectively +25% Doubleshot over time while Vendetta is ~7% more damage from improved critical profile. This is roughly equivalent to the +20 Ranged Power/+10% Doubleshot you're getting from Mechanic and it doesn't require you burn 30+ AP in an otherwise not very impressive tree.
