being disconnected a lot since update

I have had 6 disconnects (dcs) in the last hour since the server update/cleaning. It happens in quests and public areas...no particular observable reason. Anyone else having similar experience?

Which servers are you guys on? Would help to narrow down whether it's localised in any fashion, server, general location, etc. And are they chat disconnects or full on you've been DC'd from DDO?

sorry was away...on Thelanis for me. However I have not experienced any dcs now for the last 2 hours. So maybe the trouble is over (wishful thinking).

It just happened to me now while idling on the ship and sorting gear, so the server restarts did not help today. I'm wondering if it is related to servers that do not kick you off if you log in to other servers - like when doing all daily rolls, Cannith, Argo, Ghallanda are the likeliest to not kick me out when I log onto other servers. (Am Sarlona regularly). And it's just our two accounts that do daily rolls getting boots.

If it's just chat server, it's something else, or maybe not.

1.) Clear your internet cache....yes Akami Net Session has an affect on your internet browser.
2.) Go to command prompt and type the following: ipconfig /flushdns

I do this after most updates, but possible an extended downtime might have an effect.

A few others I noticed also had disco issues, but most of the population is largely unaffected. So its likely a bottleneck in your client somewhere or your connection itself.

I'm on Argo.

It happened to me twice last night. Once in Servants of the Overlord (during the End Fight).
Second time it happened was at the end of Spinners (I had just said "voices" then before I clicked to finish the quest).

It is very random, because the night before I was standing on my guild ship (on the top deck).

It starts out as You connection with the chat server has been disconnected, then I get DC'd from the game itself and have to log back in.

It is very frustrating.

I have had a lot (2-3 times a session) of DC's lately. (Maybe since the last big update??).
It ALWAYS happens when zoning into quest or another instance, BUT more often within quests and/or instances and raids such as going from the penalty rooms in KT or passing a through teleporter that locks you into a room such as end fight in Slavers part 1. Now that I think back, it seems to happen most often when a teleporter is involved.

There is always a pause for maybe 10 seconds with the loading screen up, then DC. Always, when I log back in I am at the destination side.

It seems random across all characters I play. (6 mains)

I was disconnected once last night around 8:00PM EST, on Thelanis, about 3 minutes after logging in.
Was just standing in the cargo bay checking my inventory and... BAM! Gone.
"Disconnected from chat server"

Logged back on 15 minutes later and played for about 2 hours with no other problems; 'cept constant normal delay-lag.

I was disconnected mid-fight at the end of Mists yesterday. I was able to log back in and finish the fight.
When everything froze, even the music stopped and that usually doesn't happen.
I figured it was just too much awesomeness for my computer to handle all at once. (Scarecrow champs, mistwolves and wisps all converging on me at once.) I really need to invest in a better computer for my addiction to DDO.

It happened to my brother twice last night on Argo, VIOP call didn't even hiccup so it was definitely not a problem with the local machine, network, or internet connection. Chat Server lost, Chat Server restored, game client crashed :-(

It happened to me twice before I finally quit playing last night.

On Argo, "Your connection to the chat server has been lost."

1. Running with the Devils - right before the elemental fight.
2. In the vale running towards Rainbow In The Dark (right before the quarry bridge).

Thankfully the group I was with stayed together and didn't boot me.

Please fix and post here because I think I am going to stop playing until this gets resolved.
I'll continue to read this forum so I'll know when it is ok to return.

This is very frustrating, especially since I've been with this game since inception back in 2006 and have never had this problem until recently.

I went back in since there was a new update. It still happened twice before I finally cut my losses and stopped playing.

On Argo, I was soloing Tethyamar chain.

1. Records of the Past (right during end fight) - "connection from server reestablished/lost" then DC'd from game. I re-logged back in, to see a drider and warpriestess laughing over my soul stone.

2. Graveyard Shift (by the first damaged mining golem) - same as above. Thankfully when I re-logged back in to finish the quest, I was still alive. No mobs in sight.

So I presume that nothing was found, or is the investigation still going on?

Has this become a cold-case?

Getting stuck on a load screen is very rare for me (few times a year), but I've gotten stuck on a load screen until the point of disconnecting 4 times in the past 3 days.
