I looked at the falconry tree for paladin and right at the bottom is +2 to confirm critical hits. Wouldn't this be worth taking right off the bat. I have been using the 2 handed guide at the top of the forums so far. Im on my 3rd life as a pure paladin.

Also I have a question about Divine Devotion. You can keep adding points into it up the tree line but it just says it makes it more power defensive stat but not what that actually does. Any ideas what it adds to on your character.

The best part of the Falconry tree for a Paladin, IMHO, is the access to sprint boost in tier 2, but that's just a nice quality of life perk and not really needed. As for tier 1, there are some nice bonuses (Rugged, Practiced Accuracy and Out in Nature), but these aren't going to be huge game changers. Let's see for a pure Knight of the Chalice THF build, you probably want to max out the Knight tree, and go to tier 4 in the Defender tree, which would leave some points for Falconry. Something like the following:

Knight: 43 points (All of Tier 5 and the cores)
Defender: 28 points (Tier 4 and the first 4 cores)
Falconry: 9 points (So the first core, Heal Amp x3, PRR or Accuracy x2, and Sprint Boost x3)

You're not really doing much with your falcon other than it's pretty cool to have, and I wouldn't bother with wisdom as your combat stat, as Knights get Divine Might & Defender gets +6 strength so you're going to want to go strength based.
