So I just took the Swashbuckler core Roll with the Punches, and it did NOT give me +5 to my dodge cap as advertised. Before you ask, yes I was swashbuckling. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm sorry, I've racked my brain, and maybe its just because I'm tired, but I don't know what you mean by MDB cap. My dodge was 21% of 21% before I took Roll with the Punches, and after it remained 21% of 21%. I expected it to go up to something of 26%. I'm not a newb, but for some reason I can't figure out what I'm missing here.

My brain finally kicked in, MDB = Max Dex Bonus. As you can see, I'm only at 21% and with ship buffs think I should be able to go to 27%. Anyway, Roll With the Punches isn't increasing the cap that I can see. Any ideas from you SwashBucklers out there?

Roll with punches doesn't override the mdb rating.

If you have a dodge cap of 9011, but only a max dex bonus on your armour of 15. Then your maximum dodge cap will become 15.

Try put on a robe. Does it increase then?

There's your clue that you are capped by mdb. If not you would have 27 and go up to 32. You can get better armor, twist lithe, put ap in t5 SB, or get a mobility feat/item.

Dodge cap = least of max dodge and mdb.
