guild ship buffs deleted

Anyone else have their ship amenities wiped after the server restart this morning?

I dont mean placed in storage, but like you never bought them.

Every restart guild ship amenities take approximately an hour to repopulate. Happens every time. All should be well.

Well it was a legitimate question/concern. I didn't know it happened regularly cause im usually wirking when restarts happen. I had a brief moment of horror remembering when the old buffs puffed a few times. Those we bought with plat so want a big deal. Three thought of acquiring the amount of shards over again was definately horrifying. Haunted halls of eveningstar gear doesn't sell for nearly as many shards these days.

There's no way to know this happens until you either read about it or experience it. I can't think of any other way that warns about this situation.

I know. DDO is full of stuff like that. Try finding about how to TR when you're in game. Aside from the one character that does it that's tucked away in a place nobody ever goes, there's zero mention of it in game.

DDO is horrible for stuff like this.

For how many years was the server down message during maintenance telling you there was a problem with your account? Prior to them fixing that the #1 weekly thread on r/ddo was "I can't log in."

You'd think by now they'd have put in one of those global announcements debuffs that lets you know the server was rebooted 2 hours ago or whatever and ship buffs might not have repopulated yet.

They could add it to the downtime notice (it used to be IIRC), they could do World broadcasts about it. They could send email and/or letters to all players about it. They could ring everyone each and every time.

and guess what?

You'd still get someone posting the question "Guild buffs are missing. Where are they?".

So let them ask the question, someone will tell them politely whats going on and everything is good. For a minute or two at least :)
