Is Defenseless (Eveningstar Challenge) broken for anyone else?

I just ran Defenseless. The time ran out, and I had 5 stars. But the level didn't end. It just stayed dark and quit gathering energy. It seems like this happened the last time I ran it. Anyone else getting this?

Don't run those often but don't you have to talk to someone at the end before you get the rewarded XP?

If this happens when running ES challenges, everyone has to log out and back in to get XP. Make sure 1 person stays in quest while others re-log.

I wish that were it, but the challenges are an instant-win once the timer is out. I thought about that and talked to the Great Tree and it's dryad just in case, but nope.

I've always soloed them. Nobody I hang out with in the game runs them. It's too bad this happens. Fortunately, it was the shortest challenge but super frustrating when you are on an XP potion regardless.
