View Full Version : Thief Acrobat Attack Speed Enhancements Bug

None of the Thief Acrobat tree's enhancements are granting any sort of increases in attack speed.

3 ranks Thief Acrobatics is supposed to grant 15% Attack Speed (untyped?) when using a quarterstaff and the 6th core enhancement Follow Through is supposed to grant an additional 5% to Attack Speed (untyped?) when using a quarterstaff.

My toon is using a quarterstaff and when I look at the character sheet, it indicates 0% increase in attack speed. Indeed, when I swing the quarterstaff, there is no discernible increase in attack speed.

If I put on my Legendary Flightfoot grieves (+15% Ehancement bonus to attack speed), the character sheet then indicates a +15% increase to attack speed.

If the Thief Acrobat increases to attack speed are untyped (and if I also wear the Flightfoot Grieves), the character sheet should indicate a +35% to Attack Speed. If the Thief Acrobat increases are Enhancement bonuses, the character sheet should indicate a +20% to Attack Speed.

The character sheet indicates neither.

My Thief Acrobat's attack speed is actually either +0% when I don't have the Flightfoot Grieves on or +15% when I do have them on and visually, you can really see a difference.

Please fix the Thief Acrobat enhancements so they actually grant the bonuses to Attack Speed.

Yes, I filled out a Bug Report ticket (Request #70494).

Just posting here to see if anyone else has noticed this.

Attack speed bonuses that specify the style being affected (in this case, anything that uses Quarterstaff animations) do not appear on the character sheet. Sorry to be such a party ****er :(

The SWF attack speed bonuses DO appear on the character sheet, though, and they specify the following condition: "Requires fighting with a single one-handed weapon, and wielding only an orb, runearm, or nothing in your off hand."

How different is that from how the TA Attack Speed enhancements work?

Thanks.

Ah, should have been clearer - this is stuff like VFK's stacking attack speed to daggers, or the tier 5 attack speed to crossbows in mechanic. If they specify a weapon, it doesn't appear.

Ok, so the only way I will be able to see what difference the TA enhancements make (visually speaking) is to compare a Q-Staff user with no Attack Speed enhancements and no +15% to Attack Speed items side by side with my TA (with TA enhancements) an no +15% Attack Speed items equipped.

Thanks. I will do that when I get home from work.

The speed increase works. I've run enough qstaff builds to say that, despite being unlisted, you do get an attack speed increase.

Would it be possible for the character sheet and general UI stuff to be overhauled at some point in the future? There is a lot of UI elements that give incorrect or misleading information on the player's statistics (OP's problem as well as things like crit threat range and multiplier requiring you to look at the weapon itself AND the listed range in the inventory panel to figure out what your actual values are), as well as many things that are just flat out missing (more exotic resistances like poison or light aren't shown like the elemental resistances, absorption isn't shown anywhere in the UI except the combat log).

It has been a QoL issue many of the community have pleaded to be done (among other wishes). Hopefully one day...

Shirley adding a few icons and the corresponding text is something that should be doable by Lyn, right?

interesting, so VFK dagger speed works?

I don't think there was any mention that it didn't beyond the bonus not showing up on character sheets. There are even builds that specifically use the attack speed as far as I know.

Essentially any speed bonus that is tied to a specific weapon style/animation does not show up on the char sheet, probably because they're not being counted as generic "speed" bonuses that the sheet will be reading off.

Already good enough to know that you would like to have it too if your resources allow making it real.

Is that the same as "Not happening any time soon?".
