Ever want to have the oppertunity to create a miniature that is made an official D&D mini by WotC? Well, now's your chance! If you have Adobe Photoshop, that is.

WotC is releasing a new dungeon called Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage. In it lurks the Terror of Undermountain, which is a great callback to the classic adventure The Ruins of Undermountain quest from the 90s. And they're tasking us the players with creating the Terror's official visage using per-rendered assets in Photoshop. The winner gets their creation turned into the aforementioned mini, a trip to meet with D&D designers, and $5000.

People behind that promotional video must have some dark sense of humor.
'You could meet the creators of D&D' ? Can't they use some other line ? Sorry, guys, but both D&D's creators are dead and I would be scared to enter the contest that have such 'prize' among the things you'll be able to win.

Wasn't Eberron based on the same gimmick that they were going to allow the players to create such a thing even though they had the campaign already picked out? Or was that just rubbish?

P.S. I don't have/use Photoshop but for those who do....Good Luck regardless. Maybe DDO will pick your model up.

Piece of cake, Here's a QUICK test of 2 pics from the file they provide. The top head and torso are original. The bottom is 3 segments and the head attached.

just playing around. Im not into cockroaches, however, I was looking at all the legs, and why not? A new Underworld D&D cockroach, Ill have to think about the concept.

"Arctopus", Aberration, a creature that lives within the corridors of Underdeep. The creature is not stationary once it senses your presence, blind, it uses tremor sense to detect enemies.

The contest is more about creating a new monster and using photoshop exclusively. Not so much how nice it is, although that is a big part of it.
