I've got a shuriken thrower who'd like to round out his CC capabilities. Already has DPS / Vulnerability / Affirmation swaps, so this is really just about CC. Usually plays in the 3-6 skull range. I'm trying to choose between either LGS Ice or Salt. Here's what I've gathered on them:
LGS Ice:
- proc chance < 100% (wiki claims 10-20%), but with throwing high RoF should proc "a lot"
- affect is AoE, but no idea on the radius
- affect does have a save ... maybe fort 90?
- no internal cooldown
- doesn't cause helplessness
- grants dr 100/adamantine to victim
- no data on duration
LGS Salt:
- proc chance 100%
- effectively single target due to internal 250ms cooldown
- no save
- reduces movement + atk speed significantly
- doesn't cause helplessness
- duration might be around 11 seconds?
I'm leaning towards salt. The ice AoE is tempting, but the save worries me that it won't continue to scale very well into higher reapers. Ice also somewhat pushes for adamantine dr breaking, which isn't a problem for the user (just take the pierce feat), but can inconvenience the party.
Do both of these effect the same kinds of targets, or, for example, does only one of them land on reapers / incorps / etc.?
I'd love to hear people's thoughts or advice.
