I went ahead and made a wooden quarterstaff sentient thinking how awesome the weapon is for my build. Unfortunatelly, it talks every time it gets damaged and because it's a quarterstaff, even with adamantine ritual and item defense is every three seconds...

I will probably end up turning off sentient sound now :(

Use the Quarterstaff from the newest raid (Staff of Shadows). It's indestructible. (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/499518-Update-40-Preview-1-Raid-Loot-Feedback-Thread?p=6137524&viewfull=1#post6137524)

My favorite is when my weapon tells me that "This is not according to plan" when everything is, in fact, according to plan.

Sure. Because this game has no casters that do not hit monsters with their quarterstaves and thus break them. Definitely. What was we all even thinking ?!

I put Hopeful on my bards short sword...I think the voice acting was poorly directed because it screams like it's being eviscerated, it sounds like a soundtrack from a horror movie. I really regret putting hopeful on my weapon in general, it should be called "annoyingly perky and too soft for combat"

They should just turn down the when-damaged voice proc rate significantly. It's annoying even on more durable weapons and really unnecessary to be notified that often. Things like low health warning are useful, I don't need to know every time my weapon loses durability though.

It's also not wooden. If it was I would be probably using it. I really like shillelagh on wooden quarterstaffs especially with the doubled shillelagh from season's herald.
