Post strange ideas for classes here for fun! Serious or not, doesn't matter. Since we got falconry, something I never saw coming, and since warlock came before psionic, seems anything is possible from here. So I figured it would be fun to start listing ideas, loads of them. Class overload - if we put down 10,000 classes, chances are they will have to make 1 of them! :D :P Even if they didn't intend to hahahaha. I'll go ahead and pluck off some of the obvious ones, and add a few strange ones just for fun. Add as many ideas as you want, the class overload thread is a community brainstorm of class thought!

Obvious:
Psionic
Shaman

Who knows:
Samurai
Sohei
Wu-Jen
Cavalier
Pirate
Witch
Hunter
Knight (different then paladin)
Viking
Amazon
Bandit (unfortunately you wouldn't get to loot towns folk, just destroy their furniture :P)
Miner (miners obviously got to be tough to work in a world where monsters lurk in the darkness below - a battle miner would be interesting)
Traboudor (the throwing nightmare)
Gladiator (master of the tavern arena!!! hahahaha)
Chaos Warrior (you never really know what its gonna do, but its almost always awesome!)
Exorcist (game update - ghosts can now possess toons, clerics gain new feat, but exorcists excel at it - exorcism - animations to quickly push those nasty demons or ghosts out of your character's head!!!)
Jester (make fun of monsters while the party kills them... get their agro and evade, kite, while teasing them and making them annoyed)
Theurge
Inquisitor (monsters be running away)
Runecaster
Yukuza
Shapeshifter

Strange:
Dragonrider
Summoner
Hexblade
Shugenja
Spell Theif
Mystic
Soul Knife
Lurk
Erudite
Ardent

TimeTwisted:
Pilot
Soldier
Doctor
Gunslinger (it would be fun to just shoot kobolds :D)
Detective
Sceintist
Time Traveller
Entrepenuer (Somehow... the owners of the game end up with their own class.. :D)
Programmer (finally the devs could just be themselves!)

Edit add: Obviously the Programmer would be OP and need to get nerfed!)

Obviously we couldnt call it that but much of the lore and game coding already exists.

C'mon...my campaigns with various DMs cant be the only ones influenced in one way or another by
a cult classic like Hawk the Slayer.

If youll remember back to a time before the ridiculous three pronged boomerangs, drow used a crossbow pistol, usually in the off hand dual weilded with a short sword.
Drawing the string one handed wasnt so much the problem with the relative realism players required so much as reloading the bolt.

Along came the Bonecrack and his full-auto pistol that appeared to teleport bolts from its special quiver into the self cocking pistol.

This was a fun idea but a bit too much shark jumping for our sessions. This idea along with inspiration of the magazine fed cho-ku-no in an early Dragon Magazine article did make it seem reasonable to implement a pistol with a magazine based on a box similar to a bag of holding. Somehow this was more acceptable and kept the rate of fire from being an issue in play.

We know that some sort of similar magical based solution exists in Eberron because Orthons use it.

In game we have magazine fed repeaters. So we have those rules worked out regarding RoF and such. We have animations actually more appropriate to this than actual two handed repeater use, we just need them to switch hands like a rune arm. We have most of the required feats already and a near copy paste of light/off hand in Swashbuckler.

Mush it all together a bit and you would have some kind of underdark drow "Enforcer" or "Scput" or something.
