Hello folks, I am wondering if I should come back to the game (I want to start fresh) and I have a few questions :
1) one of the things i didnt enjoy (and the reason i quit) was the constant TRing. Is there a class/build that can be endgame viable without too many TRs ? (I will do 2 TRs to reach 36 build and a few epic TRs if needed but that's all) ? (I used to enjoy playing CC bard and healers the most, I like melee as well but I don't enjoy offensive spellcasting that much)
2) Is there an endgame ? Do people stay at cap or is everyone just TRing ?
3) My play time is mornings/early afternoons Central Euro time (so that would be nightime/ very early morning in US east coast) : which server should i choose ?
4) Any guild recruiting casual players, based on group play and not necessarily zerging ?
5) They updated cannith crafting : is it mandatory ? time / resource consuming ?
Thanks for any help !

You’re a bit out of luck with your playtime there I play around about the same times and on all servers this is off peak, on weekends and after updates it’s alqays pretty active though,
There is more players TRing and leveling then there are sitting at 30, but at 30 you can play with level 20’s so you end up being able to play with a few folkes. If youre at 30 you’re just going to be seeing other players with more power and you’ll want some of that, Why don’t you run multiple characters and always leave 1 at level 30 so you can always do endgame stuff.
Go join Cannith since it’s the most popular, Hand of Death and Tycoons of Tomorrow are big guilds there and are always recruiting.
Cannith Crafting is nice as now but does take some effort, it is worth it though and now you can finally use those ingredients you want, in saying that it’s still not as good as new content equipment(new content normally has best gear to force.. uhh entice people to play them)
Also all your old **** is probably worthless now; I call them my legacy items

play a foccused build that doesn't require you to hit a certain number (dc for casting or hp&ac for tanks) and play a lower dificulty, then you'll be fine. If there were build that could do endgame without gear or past life effort, people would play that instead.
2) Is there an endgame ? Do people stay at cap or is everyone just TRing ?
Both, though some servers migh be empty depending on your playtime.
3) My play time is mornings/early afternoons Central Euro time (so that would be nightime/ very early morning in US east coast) : which server should i choose ?
Create toons on every server and do a test on each, check the who pannel to see who is doing what
4) Any guild recruiting casual players, based on group play and not necessarily zerging ?
Flowersnifferguilds can be found everywhere
5) They updated cannith crafting : is it mandatory ? time / resource consuming ?
its super easy, money is worth nothing, shards are the meta currency, keep named items to feed to your sentient gem later and deconstruct the rest.
Thanks for any help !

On Thelanis, I played endgame from around 10:00pm-2:00am pacific (7:00-11:00am CET) throughout the summer. There is definitely an endgame (playing on the highest levels of the newest difficulty, called Reaper mode), and there was not a single night all summer where I put up an LFM and nobody joined. Thelanis has a fairly consistent endgame PUG scene at that time period, and once you get to know people you can get into certain guilds or chat channels. :)
You don't need any past lives to play endgame, even at the highest levels of difficulty. It does help though, of course. The thing is, the more you play Reaper mode, the more Reaper experience you get, which goes towards powerful reaper enhancement trees and cosmetic rewards. Sufficient levels of quest gear will easily get you up to a level where you can contribute plenty to any Reaper group. The rest is just game knowledge, which you'll earn along the way. ;)
DPS-focused melee are always a strong choice (Monk, Rogue, Ranger TWF, Fighter, Barbarian...) and Ranger/Paladin open up more healing options if you enjoy that. If you want to do CC casting + healing, the obvious choices would be Bard, Druid, Cleric and FvS. Keep in mind you'll definitely need some heavy gear + reaper point investment if you want to do DC casting at the highest difficulties (caster past lives help offset this).
Good luck, and have fun!
