Hello all. I played DDO way back in the first weeks when everything was up hill in the snow both ways. Now I'm coming back to a account that has some things a total newbie would not but not much else.
Ive 32pt characters ,Drow, VIP, deep gnome from somewhere, Shadar-kai from the sale and druid because I had the points.
What I do not have is any higher level characters my highest level is a level 10 bard on a server that is kind of dead.

Is there a good character build from what I have that I can use to farm up some gear? I do enjoy the lower levels and alts a lot but mild twinking is great for me do to how much I solo. Was thinking of a Shadar-kai rogue/druid since I really kind of enjoyed the level 4 one ive been farting around with.

Rogue mechanic of any race is a strong choice. I'm not sure what your level mix is between rogue and druid for a multi-class, if I were to do this I'd just take 2 rogue on a druid build for trapping skills and evasion. But since Druid isn't an Int class that seems like it might be painful in terms of stats and skill points. I'd stick with a pure Rogue. Repeaters are great for the lower levels, especially a vorpal one. At higher levels great xbows take the lead.

Welcome back, OP. :)

The Build Repository (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/470423-Build-Repository) should be your first stop if shopping for a build.

Druids got buffed last update so it's certainly a good time to play one. If looking for a caster build, start with this thread (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/427398-Gingerspyce-s-caster-healer-quasi-tank-build); if you're interested in a melee shapeshifter, look here (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/495478-Post-U38-Wolf-Builds).

SDK would be a reasonable choice for a first-life rogue / druid, IMO, although there are downsides; namely they don't start with any WIS or caster gear. That said, there's an old SDK "daggerdruid" in my Iconic Builds thread which should still work fine, given that you don't have Vistani Knife Fighter (http://ddowiki.com/page/Vistani_Knife_Fighter_enhancements), I presume.

FYI, Crystal Cove just came back and the gear has been overhauled. So perhaps look over the gear list (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/497738-Update-39-Preview-2-Loot?p=6114038&viewfull=1#post6114038) to see if there's anything you want to farm while you can.

Pure Rogue is strongest, yes, BUT if all the OP wants is a farmer, and he's not going to go into Epics (past Level 20) - well, he doesn't care about "strongest", so multi all ya want. If farming over-level in lesser quests, just grab what makes that easy, and don't worry about quests at-level.

I'd go Rogue 12 (or 13, see below), Barb 1 (for 10% faster run speed - faster running is more time for everything else), and maybe mix in a couple levels of a healer in there - I'm partial to Bard (and there's some good cheap AP defense in there, and a Sprint boost), but whatever. You could also go Fighter for Kensai DPS boosts. Hell, you could even go Wizard 1 for a free Invisibility and some QoL spells like Shield or Prot from Evil.

But Rog 13 is another Rogue special ability (http://ddowiki.com/page/Rogue_Special_Ability), so you have to balance what you want w/ what you're giving up (and whether you actually want to level them to 16 or more to get it all).

Repeaters are great for the lower levels, especially a vorpal one. At higher levels great xbows take the lead.
Yep. Vorpal of Deception is money for Rogues (if you're lucky enough to have one drop), but Vorpal of Tendon Slice is not bad either. And the diff between Light and Heavy Repeaters is only a couple points of damage, so don't stress if that's what you find.

Rogue Mechanic gets Light @ class Lvl 6, heavy at class Level 12, so if you're going Iconic you've got either/both for free.

A Druid is not, for most, a go-to for a farmer, at least not on 1st life.

Drow is almost certainly trumped by a 32 point build on most other races (Human jumps to mind). Human, SK or DG (w/ Color Spray!) would all be fine for a Rogue-based farmer.

Thanks unbongwah I am using your Assassin build to farm a good crossbow so I can try your Mechanic build 8). The assassinate skill has been great fun. (No Mr. Bond I want you to DIE! Gank)

Im looking at my legacy characters that are around an they are a mess. So many game changes since they where made that they all are kind of gimp. I do have +20 hearts on some of them so I wonder if that was given as a free respec. Not sure if that will help due to sub-optimal stat allocation for most of them. It is annoying how many have bound to character Anniversary rewards like 5 and 6 year old cakes . Will have to check on the wiki if any of that is useful.

Every existing toon was given a free HoW +20 when Update 19 / Shadowfell came out, which was the Great Enhancement Revamp a mere five years ago.

Off the top of my head, those are some of the freebie items which have been handed out in the last several years which can still be redeemed now.
