Not sure what to call it so far, but this Gnome Sharpy Illusionist has been possibly the most fun I have had playing this game.
Not over powered but, solo capable, although instances with huge spawns in a tight space have been a problem at times.
Absolutely wonderful party toon. Just the right amount of trickery to slow things down so other party members feel like and are fully contributing.
Especially Melees.
Unlike say my take on the Electric Critzilla build using a DB, (Thank you very much for posting that build, provided much focus for an Artie build.)
Which obliterates everything in its path.
Takes a bit of work to co-ordinate with Firewall users so you are not negating each others spells. (Ice storm)
So far I am 14th and just when some of his abilities seem like I may be getting in trouble with DC's for traps, colour spray etc the next level seemed appropriate and fixed the problem.
Power seems to be gradual and constant and keeps pace with content.
Using Color Spray and Sound Blast for CC, Ice storm for the slow and damage and the Great Xbow to mop up.
Other spells used as needed and self/party buffing.
Full blown resists are a little later on this toon but it still works.
So, I am heading into material I am unfamiliar with, how strong it is etc.
Wondering if anyone might have any things for me to watch for, or perhaps any tweaks I should make if I find myself getting into trouble.
Thinking I may make this a multiple life toon and come back to this build after about a half dozen lives to see how much I can improve it with past lifes.
Currently a 38 Intelligence driving his abilities.
Not worried about listed spells as Wizzy spells can be changed as needed. Mind you I am willing to listen to suggestions and and advice there as well.
So any advice, or is there anything I have overlooked or are just mucking up?
