View Full Version : Favored Soul's Warsoul tree is fundamentally flawed.

The improved Warsoul tree has a very serious flaw in its design: it has no melee power. It has two abilities that deal extra light damage and are supposed to scale with melee power, yet the tree adds none. Why can't these scale with light spellpower, which the tree adds in its cores?

Also, Radiant Flourish, which is supposed to scale with melee power, doesn't even work. I've tried hitting everything in the harbor from kobolds, to humans, to iron defenders, to oozes: nothing takes extra light damage from it, it just shows 'immune'.

EDIT: After some more testing after playing, tonight, it doesn't work on oozes, iron defender, or humans, but it does work on most kobolds, troglodytes, zombies, and skeletons. More testing when I login tomorrow.

Are you using your deities favored weapon?

I had no issues with radiant flourish on a wolf maul build.

Secondly I have no issue with caster class trees not having melee power. But agree scaling with spellpower is better just scale the damage way down or do like 25% spellpower.

Yup. Warforged with Lord of Blades deity using a greatsword.

I mean....it gives light and fire spellpower in the cores. Why can't it scale with spellpower? Why did they have to change it to melee/ranged power?

The stranger thing is I used it on some reapers in reaper difficulty and it works on them, but not on regular creatures. This is really odd.
