Firstly, two handed fighters have their Bloodrage Chrism, Two weapon fighters have their set daggers.........

Okay, for cannith crafting....... a shield can have the following effects...

Prefixes

Various Elemental Absorptions
Fortification
Spell Resistance
Various Spellpowers
Combat Mastery
Sacred
Silver Flame
Song Blade

Suffixes

Sheltering
Damage Guards
False Life
Wizardry
Bashing
Shield Bashing
Elemental Resistances
Intimidate
Move Silently
Insightful Combat Mastery
Deathblock
Eternal Faith

Extras

Insightful Deadly
Insightful elemental resistances
Parrying
Insightful balance
Insightful Intimidate
Insightful Move Silently

Now, obviously, some of these effects do not belong on an orb, while some effects that are not here do belong on an orb.....

Also, I might note that Shields have a bit less flexibility in the crafting system than some other item types that can be crafted.

Randomly generated effects I would like to see on an orb........

Prefixes

Weapon Imbue-Cursespewing
Weapon Imbue-Improved Cursespewing
Weapon Imbue-Stat damage effects
Weapon Imbue-Slowburst
Weapon Imbue-Shocking Blow
Eternal Holy Burst

Suffixes

Various Spellcasting focus bonus effects
Various Efficient Metamagics
Enhancement Bonus to Healing Amplification

Extras

Healer's Bounty
Weapon Imbue Vampirism (1-4 depending on level of item)
Greater regeneration
Improved regeneration
Regeneration
Quality bonus to Healing Amplification

Effects that I know very much so belong......... Well, that list is simply too long to include for now......

Anyhow, I know there are effects that can not be crafted onto an item but can be found in randomly generated items. I'd appreciate a list of said possible effects if someone would be able to offer such.

I ask of you, please tell me what you think the suffixes, prefixes, and extra effects of an orb should be.

I wish to compile data here to make a convincing argument for Randomly Generated Orbs on the suggestion and ideas forum and make that argument convincing the first try. (A general Orb update has been asked for, but not specifically in what pertains to randomly generated Orbs, but instead a blanketed request).

Though I have suggested, a few attributes myself.... those are not only up for debate, but also primarily there to serve as an example....... while also demonstrating my idea of the limitations on melee-centric orbs.

When making your reply, please do keep in mind that if you don't want orbs to get any such update but don't have an argument for such a position outside of "I want my item to get updated instead", you are only cluttering my feed and not providing anything constructive and thus being a troublemaker, you may get reported.

Rules:

1-Disagree while stating reasons and opening said reasons to debate.

2-Acknowledge that opinions are free to change and often intended to change.

3-Inquiry over assumption, meaning don't assume as your primary, inquire as your primary.

Shields do give a good basis for what should be on orbs... but obviously changes need to be made. So here's my list:

Prefixes

Charisma
Various Elemental Absorptions
Spell Resistance
Various Spellpowers
Combat Mastery
Sacred
Silver Flame
Song Blade

Suffixes

Accuracy
Various Spell Lores
Various Spell Focuses
Wizardry
Elemental Resistances
Diplomacy/Haggle/Bluff/Move Silently
Insightful Combat Mastery
Deathblock
Eternal Faith

Extras

Insightful Charisma
Insightful Deadly
Insightful elemental resistances
Various Insightful Spellpowers
Insightful Diplomacy/Haggle/Bluff/Move Silently

I feel like this would provide options to craft a wide variety of orbs useful for casters or single-weapon-fighters (especially swashbucklers), and stay flavorful for what having effects a pretty magic ball in your offhand should imbue on the wielder. It gives shields a definite advantage over it by not allowing most of the defensive or shield-bashing options available to shields, but has advantages over shields by allowing a lot more flexibility in spell-type effects.

Finally; while I do like the idea of weapon-imbues on orbs and would like to see that in the game; I feel like it should be a rare effect restricted to named orbs specifically designed for single-weapon-fighting; and certainly not overshadow runearms for this purpose.

I agree with that statement however lack awareness on the full context, would you say my weapon imbue suggestions are more akin to Jewelry based weapon imbues or runearm weapon imbues? I was going for named jewelry type weapon imbues.

Further more, five more list contributions from serious replies like your's and I think I'll have the data needed for the suggestion!
