View Full Version : For the future, could we get some love for quests 25-29?

I have a character at level 26. I just finished getting a different character to 30.

I'm looking at all the quests 25-29, and I'll be honest, I don't have any desire to play them because I repeated these quests way too much on the last character.

If I were one of those awesome people with loads of points in reaper and a bajillion past lives, this wouldn't be an issue. I'd just skip to Legendary content. But I'm not. I have a handful of past lives, and Reaper is something I've only dabbled in. The character I just got to 30 was a first lifer with no reaper at all, so until I got to level 28 or so I couldn't handle Legendary.

My case:

Levels 20-24: 71 quests
Levels 25-29: 28 quests
Levels 30+: 53 quests

Also, 25-29 has 2 quests unique to Epic: Precious Cargo and Brothers of the Forge. Everything else is just an Epic version of previous stuff you've done in Heroics. One of them is actually fun to run IMO (Precious Cargo, while unique, isn't the best level design).

The new quest pack added 1 quest to level 25--a level range that needed it. Everything else went to 21, 23, and 32 which already had a healthy amount of quests (6 and 9 for heroics).

It's really cool that there is a good end game. But it would be nice if it was more fun to get there :D. I'd like to see more unique content for this level range.

You are correct and I believe this will be addressed sooner than later, BUT the problem will always be that this range of xp does not compete well against slayers.

The problem is if you aren't getting 12-14k xp / min in any new quests, they won't be run anyways by the vast majority of the 20-30 population.

What really needs to happen is a general xp pass in epics (and possibly the newer quests in heroics) to make them worth running.

There's also the fact that if you ran any of the quests that have an epic version in heroics, you fail to get the first time bonus.

What I would like to see, and what would have been nice in the recent update, is to add quests in the epic range 20-29 and then a legendary version of them.

We are at a point where heroic is oversaturated with xp in all but 1-2 levels and even those are fine if you are vip and/or running a 20%+ pot.

An xp pass would be nice,. And I agree, the lack of first time bonus hurts.

However, a lack of unique quests at that range isn't really addressed with an xp pass. I like RPGs because I like to play a story. Playing the same story over and over is like watching the same movie a billion times. I realize RPGs are grindy, but minimizing this a bit would help. Right now it feels like working a job in that level range rather than playing a game.

Edit: Another observation: this range can be where you get stuck grinding Epic Destinies for a while since feats at 26, 28, and 29 rely on mastered Destinies for the most part. I was stuck at 27 and 28 for a while with that last character while I completed 3 primal Destinies. So this level range could use some help with quests for that reason too.
