Huh. I equipped the cloth armors on my half orc (female if that matters) and she looked naked. Must be a bug with half orcs... again.

Did the same for me. I had to click on the doll icon in inventory and unslot the armor there and it worked after.

Uncertain where to include these but here is the Crystalline Cacophony Docent

And the Garb (Robe) of the Xorian Cultist from the Mysterious Remnant Vendor

Someone else will need to acquire and take screenshot of the other new cosmetics from the Mysterious Remnant Vendor. I only had a little over 10K remnants so I could only get one item.

Big Thanks rys and ael, love that they do so much new good looking equipment!!

Just praying that the xorian cloth works on a warforged now.

:-)

Thank you, Aelonwy and Rys, for continuing to post pictures of new equipment! :)

None of the 'new' armor or items look appealing to me but hopefully others enjoy it.

I like the current visual of Blackrazor but feel it's still missing some visual flare.

Perhaps give it the evil weapon enchant visual (the black ooze/smokey one), and turn the opacity of the stars/galaxy effect down a bit so that they blend a bit more into the black of the blade. Once that's due amp up the glow effect on the weapon so that it looks a bit more alive.

In general I feel like more color/glow would really make it pop out visually. Although the blade needs a bit more black to it, the purple sort of coats a great deal of the length.

Edit: Turn the glow up on the edges of the blade, make it look a tad reminiscent of a lightsaber. Perhaps that would help in making the weapon look like something forged out of Negative Energy Entity?

I was thinking if they made the blade look a little transparent like the dagger from Mabar but black-transparent not purple transparent... it would look much more awesome.

Though I agree if it had the evil or better yet the shadow effect from Thunderholme, that could much improve the wow-factor.

Hmm, that might work if they toned down the purple/blue bit and made it a darker gray/black color, then I think that shadow effect would be perfect.

As a note, the visuals as seen on Lamannia are mostly placeholder. Some of the weapons have new models, the Robe and Outfit have new models, the 3 key weapons have new icons, etc etc. It's a hectic job sorting out all of the loose ends when so much brand new art is added, so some of the cool visuals didn't make it in time for Lamannia :(

I think the team did a great job with the art for this update, Blackrazor included :)

Not dissing it; I think it looks good. Just hoping for a few tweaks to really make it come to life. :)

I know this isn't the place, but could you slip evil DR breaking onto Blackrazor for lore reasons? (Since it's made out of crystal and not 'negative energy/evil' as a cousin to Celestia.)

I really like many of the new art pieces. I like Wave and Whelm, I love the new Wave cosmetics, the Xorian Cultist robe, Crystalline Cacophony, the birds and crustaceans, the platinum weapons.

I think many people, myself included, were just expecting Blackrazor... one of the most iconic PnP weapons to just be totally mouth-watering awesome in every way. Perhaps expectations were way too high.

By the way has the issue I noticed in the first preview with the platinum weapons been fixed?

Okay I just noticed something I really don't like. In the Dojo the Platinum Qstaff (may be other platinum weapons too) has this beautiful sparkly purple effect that trails sparkles as I turn and swing the weapon. As soon as I leave the Dojo it disappears and no amount of re-equipping brings it back. I was planning to Mirror this for my Qstaff build but not if its going to loose the sparkles. And I just noticed upon re-entering the dojo the sparkles came back so what gives?

Sev's comment here might be of interest to you, with regards to Blackrazor and the rest of the iconic weapons:

The plan is to have future content where the weapons can be upgraded. While we want these weapons to ultimately be really good, we don't want a normal quest to drop weapons that are too good out of the gate.

Did the bow get a new design, I was somewhat disappointed with void bow re using the ardency skin.

Excellent.

And thank you, I didn't have time to check myself. I was busy running the side quests for feedback.

The platinum weapons, can you fix them by upgrading the bludgeoning damage to be on par with Cannith crafting damage potential? On a cannith crafted weapon you can have both force damage and bludgeoning damage....... sure the platinum thing would be nice if it would proc, but would it really be better than my Cormyrian Bastard Sword that has Shrieking, Cacophony, and Roaring? My cannith crafted bastard Sword without needing Sentient Filigrees? My Cormyrian Bastard Sword's Roaring effect is very reliable, how reliable will this platinum effect be? When I tested it, I could not get it to ever proc even against weak enemies....

Here's My Cormyrian Bastard Sword.......

I absolutely love bastard swords, you aren't releasing a bastard sword version of Blackrazor and so I feel protective over making this new bastard that you are creating something I would want to farm for.

If you did make a Bastard Sword Version of BlackRazor, it should come from a raid, not a regular quest........ so if you are making a raid, could you please offer upgrading it to a bastard sword an option?

Here's my fan version of it that goes by your four attribute limit rule and fits the lore much much better! (I used the hit dice used for Divinity, The Morninglord's Goal)

Echo of Blackrazor Bastard Sword
