Does Spell Lore (spell critical chance for some element) have any effect on Arcane Archer's Elemental Arrow damage? Or Eldritch Knight's Spellsword elemental damage?

If not, is spell lore useful in any way to a Ranger (or Eldritch Knight) if they are not using offensive spells (does it affect some other feat/enhancement/destiny ability)?

No effect for rangers.

It would be nice if spell lore worked with imbues or if you could use the higher of spell lore or crit range for your bow. Sure would make Void the endless cold more appealing. Giving this ability in the level 12 Ranger AA core would be a good place for interesting build choices. Ranger based arcane archers would have imbues that crit and better crits with bows that are currently vendor trash. It would go a long ways towards leveling the playing field between monk and non monk archers.

No.

Or Eldritch Knight's Spellsword elemental damage?
Base damage: no. It's also not affected by Spellpower, making Spellsword imbues weaksauce. EK is an old tree which has never been buffed - and honestly it kinda sucked when it first came out.

The Force damage from Eldritch Strike / Tempest: ...maybe? I honestly don't remember, sorry.

Well, Positive Energy Lore would apply to your Cure spells, of course, but otherwise not really. I mean technically Spell Lore also applies to ED SLAs so if you used e.g. Avenging Light you'd want Light Spellpower and Lore; but why would you use SLAs like that if you're not a DPS caster in the first place?

I believe it does apply to Eldritch Strike / Tempest; but the last time that I used these as not a full-tank build (and thus didn't invest in spellpower/lore) is a long time ago, so I don't remember for sure.

I can certainly say that on a full tank build that additional 0 to 60 force damage at level 30 is not something that's super useful. Sure; with spellpower you can get that in the hundreds; but it's still a secondary effect compared with even a full tank getting a bonus cleave (which is what the ability does).

While AA Elemental imbues have been modified to use Spell Power, it was not modified to use the Spell Critical Chance

I agree with unbongwah in that the Spellsword EK tree's imbues do not benefit. This is something I hope does change when they update the EK tree. I will admit that I'm probably a bit bias here since I currently have an Archer Build that is an Elf Ftr/Wiz that uses the AA and EK trees and this would allow me to potentially "double dip" on the spell power benefit of Elemental Arrows and Spellsword imbue :).

I'm not sure having Lore items apply would be a good thing for these types of abilities. Partly because of the potential "double dip" situation like I mentioned with AA & EK tree. This could make these abilities "too good" in that the weapon gets its own chance to crit with multiplier, and then the potential of up to two elemental damages also getting a chance to critical hit.

Thanks for your replies.

Another question:

Does Dexterity to damage add dexterity modifier to damage (does it then replace Bow Strength) or is strength the only way to raise damage with bows?

Having the enhance for dexterity to damage will make it dex if it is higher then strength(essentially it uses the higher of the 2 numbers). But your to-hit is already dex so should just pump dex up and use dex to damage, also most ranger gear put out now n days is dexterity focused (yay useless autogranted bow strength feat!).
