Why is self-healing turned off?

I'm playing an Aasimar and the healing hands is broken or turned off. I can use it on other people but not on myself. Is this currently a bug or is it just the way they nerfed it?

Make sure you activate the feat in the feat tab of your character sheet by dragging it to your hotbar and clicking it. That's the best I can think of as to why it's not working. Otherwise, it'd be because you are on a very high level of reaper where the healing is so minimal you don't notice it.

Or you are fighting undead and have an undead targeted when activating it.


( I have a Logitech keyboard that has macro keys and I finally macroed the Aasimar LOH so that it does "F1->LOH" because I got tired of wasting them on targeted Undead.... Seriously SSG, give us an option for any healing that the player can toggle on or off that is essentially "If I have an enemy targeted that is not charmed/on my side, then Heal me if I used some healing action". There are very few occasions where people actually want to try to damage undead with healing ability anymore... but this should be an option for those that still want to do that.

Yeah, by default, F1 will target yourself.

There are also some Reapers and Monster Champs, as well as a few bosses, who have a powerful healing de-buff.

Healing hands has always worked perfectly fine on my aasimar char.

As others have said, the only time I have a problem is when fighting undead, as I always end up targeting one of them instead of healing myself (and then dying while I try to get my fingers in order while the rest of the undead mob pummel me!).

This is the most likely reason. From the wiki:



Racial Lay On Hands (Healing Hands). Start with one charge per rest, gain more in tree. Can only be used while your Bond Feat is active. HP gained = {10 + Character Level} * WIS Mod.

Since he said he can use it to heal others, just not himself, that is likely not the case.
