Can we please get an extra initimidate, or some enhancement/feat/... to have initimidate work on monsters that are normally immune?

Since sorcerers and druids can now bypass elemental resistances completely, maybe it's also time you give some love to tanks.

Right now playing an intimidate tank is very boring in content with monsters that are simply immune (for instance, that quest in ruins of berez :P )

I know I can reroll in a more hate-tank style etc. But fact is, if you want to push high reaper raids you basically need to be an HP bag nowadays because everything hits so **** hard.

Either way, some kind of fun new ability to taunt immune mobs would be awesome. If you make it single-target, all good too. Or if you adjust the initimidate skill with some extra enhancement, that's cool too. Anything :P

Thanks in advance

Agreed. It would be pretty awesome to pull Death Knights off of squishy casters. I think it would work well as strictly a Paladin ability to intimidate undead. Perhaps this could be worked into Paladin Turn Undead.

I personally wouldn't make it class specific though.
Maybe add it to the unyielding sentinel ED (and make it twistable just in case there is an odd reason someone wants to use it outside of US ED), or make it an epic feat that requires 20 ranks in intimidate, or something.
This way any intimidate intended user can make use of it.

Make it a feat (Improved Intimidation) with a number of ranks of Intimidate as a pre-requisite (maybe 11, so even people with intim as a Cross Class skill can take the feat at Epic Levels if they have invested).

As a feat, people need to choose whether it's worth the sacrifice they need to make to pick it, rather than just getting it as an easy choice, which an enhancement option would do.

Description could be along the lines of:
"You are so intimidating that even stones can get antagonised by your presence"

I think there's stuff that should be immune to inti, so for tanking you must bring 1 backup for these situations (call ot variety) elemental vulnerability was 1 mistake, don't spread it over the place please

In fact for the same rule, everything could be charmed or instakilled (1 type of spell, nothing like different spells) or tripped, stunned, etc

Not sure about the reason to remove elemental invulnerability, they have more options to damage immune mobs than options 1 melee could have for stunning mobs immune to stun, or trip mobs immune to trip, etc

What I really want are toggle feats that let me generate more threat as a function of my intimidate skill, or less threat as a function of diplo/bluff. Right now, using these skills in combat doesn't often pay off, given their boolean nature; high-lv raid bosses are liable to save 95% of the time against your checks! Letting them help keep/loose agro passively would be a great reason to keep them trained.

Bingo! This would completely change the game and make these skills more useful while improving Bluff, Intimidate and Diplomacy.

Someone put this on the top line of the blackboard.

Maybe just have the feat give you the hate you'd normally get for succeeding that check if they're immune? A direct threat gen, 200xIntimidate result like normal, but it doesn't automatically move you to the top of their list? Maybe the feat even bumps it to 250x or something.

That way you still need to build well and don't get free intimidate against stuff with low Wis scores :P

I'd be down with this too! My main is a hate off-tank and would love it, and I'm building an intimidate tank that could also benefit :)

I'm planning on getting enough Intimidate to be able to grab raid bosses on a first life Iconic, but we'll see how it goes - also it costs a lot of investment to get that far so...

Basically anything that allows intimidate tanks (that focused on defensive things rather than pumping DPS) to hold aggro on mobs that are immune to the current intimidate :P
