Hi.

Besides Reaper, is healing toned down in Epic
and Legendary quests ?

Currently I am ranger level 19, and I can self heal
with cure wounds spell to, on average, 180 hit points
cured, per use, thanks to feats, gear and heal
skill.

So I should be healing for well over 200 with better
gear and heal skill when I reach mid twenties.

And so what is the use of cocoon ?

It heals for a little more, but has a long cooldown, while cure
wounds is nearly instant.

Why invest destiny points in cocoon ?

Thanks

Rejuvenation Cocoon's advantage is the Temporary Hit Points it provides as it provides "healing over time".

Temporary Hit Points apply to even those that cannot receive positive healing. Such as Undead, Some conditions a Warforged player could put themselves in and for those that are inflicted with a Curse that prevents Positive Healing.

Next, the spell point cost is cheaper and is not increased when used with Empower Healing.

But for the most part I agree that if you have options for healing already, Cocoon may not be the best choice even as a twist. You may find "more spell points" or even more Positive Spell Power a better investment for your build.

Cocoon cannot be interrupted by damage, so if you are not applying quicken to your cures that becomes another advantage.
